Missed that whole thing with the Catholic Church, did you?

They are inlcuded. Thats was a blanket statement I made. 20-25 years ago people would be afraid of men stalking young girls. But in this sick age, men are more and more sexually abusing little boys. I don't care if its girl or boy, I just can't fathom how all these people, including Paterno, either seen or was told of this sicko banging little boys and no one called the police. Honestly they all better be fired and if possible be charged. This is unexcusable.

You'd be naive to think that men didn't abuse little boys 25 years ago. You just didn't hear about it.

I went to a catholic school where this one priest was constantly hanging around girls and hitting on girls. The girls loved it too and was around him a lot. The priest was middle age.

Also met a group of car enthusiast (older) when I was in college. Became their friends, one of the guy in the group who was the money man was into young boys. He usually threw parties and paid for everyones tab. Everyone look the other way about his personal life. I just hear comments about how he was always with this 17yo. I didn't know what pedophile then. I just thought it was funny that he liked boys. Looking back it is so clear and I just shake my head.

In this case I think everyone is accountable.

imo, that is 100% false. such deviants in our society have always been there it is just a matter of them being caught and not swept under the rug or covered up. just because you didn't hear about it doesn't mean it wasn't occuring.

I really don't see how they let Paterno coach this weekend - players on the team are in an awful spot - wouldn't it be something if they refused to play?

I never said that, but there is no way you could possibly believe it was occuring then like it is now.

Why not? Human nature hasn't changed. Men have been abusing little boys since the dawn of man-kind. My guess is it probably happens less these days with all the heightened scrutiny on it.

no, there is apparently no way you could possibly believe so, so speak for yourself. Alfred Kinseys early work showed how sexually deviant people were without the knowledge of society.

Yeah ESPN is reporting that too... I can't believe Penn State would stand for that. Still a few days until Saturday, I hope they ban Paterno, Mcqueary from coaching any more games.
hopefully the public outcry from sources like ESPN will influence them to do the right thing and fire him now. Matt Millen got pretty emotional on sportscenter last night about it.

Yeah he was getting pissed off, to bad he wasn't the one that walked in on the rape. Maybe this shit wouldn't have been going on.

They need to do more than fire Paterno & anyone at Penn who knew and did not call the police. Shut down the entire fucking football program at the school.

A university is supposedly there to educate students, not be a source of possible future NFL players. Shut the program down, permanently.

They bring in millions of dollars per year for the University. They wont shut that down. Clean house, yes, I hope. Also the players are innocent in this and shouldn't be penalized imo.

And the recruits are now having second thoughts:
http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/sports/college/s_766286.html

Noah Spence, a highly recruited defensive end at Harrisburg's Bishop McDevitt, has listed Penn State among his favorites. But the scandal might have soured Spence, who wrote Monday on Twitter that Penn State "might be a no no for me" and added "ewwww."

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/hig...ecruit-schutt-monitoring-penn-state-situation

Glenbard West senior defensive lineman Tommy Schutt is still committed to Penn State, but he and his family are monitoring the current situation at the university, according to his father.

Can't say I blame them...

I am not going to go down that road, but that would be completely wrong IMO. 20 years ago a sicko like this wouldn't be able to feed his deviant mind with images of this kind of stuff. Predators like this keep themselves stimulated with child like porn. Child porn is far more accessible today than 20 years ago. We have way more "outreach" groups today, just like this one this guy used, to bring together children. Thus allowing predators like this to pick and choose kids that could be exploited.

I believe our society has more outlets today to grow a deviant mind then 25 years ago. That is why sexual abuse of kids has grown and become more known. Its like an alcoholic who gets his courage from the liquor. These sexual preadtors are able to get their courage from the internet and media today. Amazon took it down, but a pedo actually wrote a book on how to be a pedo. 20 years ago you would have never ever heard of something like that.

Deviants have access to more knowledge on how to be a deviant today, than 20 years ago. Thus making them more dangerous and giving them more knowledge to act on those sick desires.

Yeah, but is he "really" coaching these days anyway?
no, but he was when this shit was going on in the late 90's. McQueary is one of the guys calling the shots now... who was the guy that walked in on the boy getting raped in the shower.

Anyone with some time on their hands should listen to this:
http://youtu.be/Tqa9OvJvx2I

Excellent. It really adds insight into this thing... Like Mike said, I cannot believe that Penn State allowed this fcker Sandusky to use their campus and name in his brochures for football summer camp in 2009. Sick, just sick. And Paterno had to know about all of this.
