Pence stages a football game 'outrage' stunt

Nope, that collapsed. Way too much foamy spittle contamination nowadays. 😀

We need a new law that says if a politician has the option of staying home and being outraged on television rather than traveling to be outraged in person, they have to reimburse the treasury for the cost of travel and security.
New laws, hey now. We just need voters that pay attention to something other than reality tv.

It's because the Gay references bother Pence so much. That's why he keeps taking the hits.
Pence has no clue we exist, and wouldn't care if he did know. Unless one of us was waving a check anyway. But it isn't just Pence, it's pretty much every conservative that a proggie wants to insult. It's just kind of rude to gays.

Now I have nothing against being rude to gays or anyone else in principle, although as a Southerner, I try to have a tiny bit of decorum, but dang, guys, can't we spread it around? Can we at least have one month go by without using homosexual slurs as insults? These are politicians and celebrities; with just a bit of work, I'm sure you can all find plenty of potential insults without going there. Call it "No Gay Slurs November" and you'll have three weeks to practice.

(Not you personally, Meat, you're great. More of a liberal than a progressive anyway. But it's uncomfortably common among the more doctrinaire progressive crowd.)

I mean this in the Pre-Trump use of the word. People are saying Pence has requested photographers ask for DCMA take downs of a few pictures of him that have been edited to make him look gay, I know there is one with Pence lovingly holding on to Trump looking like the guy in leather from the Village People.
The Gay jabs at Pence are similar to calling a tall guy "Tiny" they do it because it's obvious Pence hates it. Not because it's easy to make fun of gays.

I like this idea for the forums, admittedly it will likely fail but a one month moratorium on certain targeted insults would be a welcome change. Let's try to revisit this idea in 2019.

Just more republicans playing games to keep their easily misled supporters perpetually outraged. If they do stupid shit like this periodically (remember Planned Parenthood?) it helps divert the attention of the 'morally upright' away from repeat events that show the GOP to be as intellectually dishonest as they are comically incompetent.

It comes easy to evangelical types too, they can excuse pretty much anything for all that onward christian soldier horseshit. The Mike Huckabee effect.

I'm pretty sure a true leader, instead of running away from a problem/conflict, would have stopped and spoken with these men about why they were protesting and what message they were trying to convey to people in power like himself.

This!...A true leader would have stayed and listened to their concerns, invite them to DC to discuss their grievances in an open forum, instead of spending a quarter million taxpayer bucks to exercise his own First Amendment rights. He walked out of Hamilton, he walked out of an NFL game, what else has he snowflaked out of rather than engage and lead?

He doesn't lead. He follows. He follows orders.

He's being called gay because of his stance of gay people. In my belief, no one is homophobic to the degree he is without a deep-seeded self-loathing because they are what they fear. And really, it couldn't happen to a better person. Why are you so insistent on posting to a bunch of people who don't know you, when most of us can't care less about you than Pence does about any of us? Why not post to Pence and tell him to sort his shit out? Maybe by some fluke he'll see it, misunderstand you, care then come out of the closet and stop being such a spiteful, hateful prick toward the gay community. He'll also get to find out God still loves him.

So NFL players pulled a kneeling stunt, and Pence pulled a walk out stunt.

Looks like a wash to me.
Wow! Missing the point entirely. Well done you! One is about equal treatment and to address police brutality of minorities. The other is just bile and a false sense of insult. You see no difference? Then it's time to use your drool rag.

No, I havent missed the point at all. Both are forms of exorcising free speech on the job, and neither are forbidden by their employer. Free speech is free speech even if you disagree with it. Both are protected under the law.

In any case, both are "stunts".

Yea, but one was brought to you by your tax $$, and a propaganda stunt from the get go. All the sincerity you'd expect from team drumpf.

You act like publicity stunts and public rallies on American's dime are something new. Every time R's or D's create some new legislation...every politician during re-election years...every time the gov't (federal or otherwise) has some new agenda they want to get passed...they spew their propaganda.

You arent aware of this?

Yes, but this thread is about this stunt pulled by the vp, with drumpf leading him on.
