Meanwhile we have Nazis once again marching with torches, as well as half of Puerto Rico without running water.

But this is how the VP, under orders from Trump, chooses to spend his time.

No showing solidarity with Charlottesville? With the flag under assault by Confederate and Nazi flags?

Go using AF2 to at least move some water to PR?

Nope. Quick distraction, then off to a fund raiser for Dana Rorbacher -R, Putin's #1 ally in Congress.

It's easy to dismiss this as a publicity stunt/diversion tactic, but stop and think about how much this cost each of us as a taxpayer. The Secret Service had to check out the venue, make security arrangements (which, from past personal experience, greatly inconvenienced the thousands of legit fans attending the game), fly his entire entourage in and out for a five minute staging, etc. I bet the total cost to the taxpayers for this stunt was well into seven figures.

What's so conservative about this sort of deliberate waste? Personally I'd rather we fund 100,000 welfare frauders for a month than piss away our money on this sort of nonsense.

It goes without saying that, per his tweets, Pence was directly asked and instructed by Trump to do this.

Most estimates put this little performance in the $250K range of cost to taxpayers.

I'm sure the enraged football fan boycotts are very real. I am 100% certain that these snowflakes have stopped engorging themselves in the very thing that pretty much defines their entire lives: tribal association with sportsing team.

Yes, very effective. very enraged. And Pence probably had to be told that he was at a football game (Weird-shaped tan ball)

What a waste of tax payer money for staged grandstanding for a base that faux outrages at the NFL yet continued to watch every week anyways. Why do they hate freedom so much? Apparently they only like their brand of freedumb.

Trump is nothing more than a distraction creator. Keep America divided and bickering over nonsense while the Government strips away all the rights and benefits from the people. When all the smoke clears, the idiots arguing will realize that they have nothing left, too late.

Pretty much. But hey, I hear there's a solid market for liberal tears.

Not that it matters much to the story, but just is another headscrathing "WTF are they thinking over there" moment, but the picture he used on Sunday was the same one he tweeted in 2014.

Mentioned it in the OP -- worth discussing though. To me, it's the epitome of the contempt Pence and crew have for the American public. He and his team either genuinely thought that no one would notice, or knew they would and didn't care because those who he was targeting would support him no matter what.

D'oh - totally missed it. Sorry. Still on the first cup of coffee :)
And yes, I agree with you on their "reasoning" or lack-thereof.

Aren't these the same people who went after a gold star family and are now saying people are disrespecting the troops?

Don't forget he/they dissed on McCain for being captured too.
“He’s not a war hero, He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

So fuck you, POWs!

Edit: Also, he insulted them with 5 deferments.

Probably one of the most disgusting things I watched was that rally where some soldier walks up and gives Trump his purple heart medal. He gives that Trump smug look and say "I always wanted one of these. This was way eaiser!". And then sticks it in his pocket.

I just can't imagine a person actually accepting that. I could think of nothing else but thanking the soldier for the thought but he was the one that earned it and I wasn't worthy.

I'd really like some news organization(s) to go back at talk to people that had these situations with Trump. See what they think now. What they thought then for that matter too. I just do_not_get_it.

Keep it simple, just ask Pence why it's more disrespectful to see the knee in person than on TV or does Pence no longer watch football

Nope, that collapsed. Way too much foamy spittle contamination nowadays. :D

We need a new law that says if a politician has the option of staying home and being outraged on television rather than traveling to be outraged in person, they have to reimburse the treasury for the cost of travel and security.

Pence still watches football, he dreams about tight ends all day long.
Why is it that the left continually makes gay slurs? C'mon, dude, it's not like this is a dry well. I'm sure you can find plenty of insults without going there.
