Paying $28 for a lunch at Taco Bell

Interesting, I've rarely ever seen a McDonald's coupon. BK and Subway, yeah.

I could install FF apps on my phone, but I ain't gonna. Not even for the promise of free food.

Yeah, the burger itself is $10-11, but it's a sizeable double cheeseburger.

I don't think you're as light of an eater as you think if you're putting away two of those and a taco. Can't tell exactly what it is from the pic, maybe a Beefy Melt Burrito, those are 620 calories and 20g of protein.
Yea, Micky D coupons are a rarity. Plus they never tell you when their promotions are over. Oh, no BOGO deal anymore? Bye.

Trust me, I'm a light eater and I surprised myself by having that large of a lunch (it did take me a while, I'm not a fast eater either). It was a Beefy Melt Burrito and a Chipotle chicken burrito. You can't just count the calories, because fat is very calorie dense. I wouldn't be able to eat 1000 calories of vegetables in one sitting if you offered me a thousand dollars to do it. But yeah, it's not a meal I'll be having again anytime soon. :tearsofjoy:

Download the McD app. I'll get my dog a treat from there every few weeks, some double hamburgers and fries. So far for the last year there are lots of coupons. The one I use is get a free medium fries with any purchase of a dollar. It's been there this whole time. There are plenty more bigger deals too.

The 1 deal I do get from the McDonalds app is $1 any size hot or iced coffee which is a very good deal. The coffee is on par with Dunkin or Starbucks regular drip coffee.

Arby's is the worst now. They used to be a huge value when they had 5 for $5 for their standard roast beef sandwich. And I think Beef and Chedders were under $2 then.

Now, a sandwich + fries is about $9 or more, depending on which "fancy" Arby's sandwich you choose. I think I went last year and paid $15 for French dip (not nearly as good as it used to be...not that it was ever great) and a regular roast beef, + fries.

That's insane. Most of the local, very good restaurants around here are usually cheaper than that, if not charging about the same. I also noticed this pre-pandemic, so it isn't supply/inflation nonsense. Arby's just, for some reason, considers themselves fancy now. I think they need more humbling.

Arby’s parent company rakes in the dough and buys out competitors.

Do get me started. I checked over basically most of the summer. Nope, no machine for the frozen Coke EVER!
Bk seems more reliable FYI.

EDIT: For frozen COKES in particular. Our MCD doesn't serve frozen Cokes. But Frappe' always down.

Actually, I might be able to believe it. When we go to Carl's Jr, it is actually really expensive I think. I don't have the receipts I don't think, but I am sure my dad and I have paid over $40 or $50 on a run. Now this is for two people, but still, I think I eat most of the food.

Thing is, taco bell isn't as good IMO. It is ok in a pinch, and I like the Baja Blast, but ususually I spend around $15 or less there.
Carls Jr has always been the more expensive fast food option like Arby's. Taco bell is cheap. $28 of taco bell foods with their constant sales is a lot. Look at their menu online. You can see a lot of food can be bought if you know what to get before going in there. The guy is talking out of his behind. I don't know how anyone could even eat that much food without experiencing their first diarrheatic action from taco bell while sitting at a table.

Haven't eaten at Taco Bell in over 20 years. There was one in town but it closed down... noticed this just a month ago. 🙄

Duh, this is P&N?
