The load times into areas/maps are not the issue.
It is the network latency that is giving a lot of people grief.

How the heck are you hitting 50% slow? (aside from 20% quality)

My load times are all over the park, sometimes POE loads almost instantaneously, other times it takes a couple minutes (even without patches). I lag badly in town when starting, sometimes when I portal into another town and occasionally for the first 20-30 seconds when I enter my first zone. I've learned to just sit there for a half minute before heading out.

I've switched back to softcore in large part because of this.

I'm guessing GGG's servers are getting slammed with the new leagues.

I wasn't saying that was the issue. I was just commenting on how fast the game loads up for me now. The initial splash screen lasts like 2 secs. Same with character load.

And, as I stated, I haven't noticed any issues with latency thus far.

This is my guess as well.

I do agree that the load times are improved. I think some of the Latency issues are more focused in Europe, at least that is what I am finding, and
I was able to get my normal lab done last night with less issues. :thumbsup:
 
Necro is up to 5425 life, Essence drain doing 23k dot dps not counting vulnerability/wither amplification, have 3k ES for MoM to soak. 60% slow on temp chains (40% on gem + 50% curse effectiveness).

Had a Heretic's Veil drop, was so stoked.

This is honestly the tankiest character I've ever made, and that includes my crown of the pale king max block gladiator.

Did an Atziri run, had one death to stupid. Rest was ezpz.

Definitely sounds like a great build. (given the right gear of course)
That helm dropping for you was just incredible and especially the timing of the drop. 😀

Just been playing here and there.

It's amazing the number of message I get from people trying to buy items in standard. I really dont want to take that store down, as I still dabble in standard once in a while. They REALLY need to fix that.

Yeah I'd be vaguely interested.

My Crit Nova has gotten better, but it's still... meh. I'm spoiled after that spark build. It was just too damn good (even still is nerfed). I loved that it just killed everything on and off the screen.

Doing the same as you. Only level 64 myself.
Most other people hit 85+ on their first toon and are already working on their second toon.
I am excited to be almost at mapping, shall see if I can deal with reflect using Flameblast, going to be "interesting" 😀

Was really hoping for a Catalyst for girlfriend's righteous fire character. Oh well.
