I think you pretty much have to treat this right wing movement as a terrorist movement and use the same tools we used against al qaeda and other religious terrorist organizations. It's pretty clear that's more or less what we're dealing with : an enraged irrational cult.
 
I guess they will just have to make their own tech companies that support their views. They can get all the crazies in one place and the FBI can monitor. Easy peasy.

I must have missed the part where I sanctioned, aided, or agreed with people storming the Capital. Stupid totalitarians, such as yourself, are the ones that live in alternative reality and blame people for something. If Google and Apple are trying to stop people from accessing non-sanctioned websites, I guess they need to remove web browsing software from their stores then.

What are people not getting? Do those apps actually perform some malicious actions on people phones? Is it because Google or Apple doesn't like what is being hosted on the Parler site? I guess they need to remove Twitter, Facebook and other social media apps because a lot of bad things have happened via those as well.

Those other apps have moderation policies they are enforcing. Parlar explicitly does not. However if Google and Apple decided they didn’t want to have those other apps in their app stores because they didn’t like the content that is on those platforms they could make the same call. Just to reinforce you have absolutely zero rights to force a private entity to host your app/content.

I am 100% in favor of kicking them off social media. Fear of reprisals is idiotic. They can dig their own graves however they want. Allowing them to coordinate is not wise. Also, the FBI is pretty good at figuring out stuff like this. Infiltration isn't really hard... Edit: ... especially for something as open ended as this insurrection.

We've simply come to the realization that Parlar and Gab and 8Chan and whatever are simply and unmistakably the Madrassas of the alt-white-supremacist Republican party movement.

For all their claimed need to limit the influence of madrassas in their role for radicalizing young fanatics (and with actual, logical reasoning), they are fully participating in the same thing, rabidly so, in their own apocalyptic death cult, anti-modern and anti-society religion that they call teh Republican Party. They have called this "censorship" and an "Assault on their god-given rights," despite any legally definable way to defend that claim, because they really do believe themselves, "and their temple" to be under direct assault. Hell, I get it: when you have massaged your brain into confusing political death cultism with the rigid spiritual belief system that you were raised under, then you've basically created two stringent brain traps to fight through in order "wake back up and actually see the world as it is." That is naturally difficult thing to do, and in that, I sympathize. ....and as such, it is fundamentally no different than the radicalization seen in young jihadist males. Republicans have willingly submitted themselves to the exact same extremist training, under the exact same environments.

...and it's no wonder that no group has been more dangerous, more murderous, responsible for crimes against this country, than white nationalist hate groups and arch conservatives. Well out-dwarfing any kind of Islamist extremists or "Crazy violent leftists."

Throughout history, and group that has gravitated towards supreme authoritarian rule, as is the platform of our Republican party, is always going to be the biggest threat to any modernized society.
 
They are 100% convinced a coup is coming before Biden is sworn in.

I don't know whether to feel sorry for them, or scared that Trump may actually attempt one.
