Same-sex fairy tale is tame to some of stuff i read in Oedipus, The inferno, and hamlet.
or the Bible, which ill just assume is where the parents suing get their morals from.
/someone was going to say it anyway
Cities like Sodom and Gamorah were completely destroyed, largely due to things like homosexuality. Don't imply that the Bible is full of homo-stories because it's not. The Bible is not graphic, but it does cover many topics that have graphic details.

Who cares. Same sex people exist. As long as there wasn't description of sexual acts, get over it.
It's like complaining that a mexican couple was the subject of the book.
uh, no it isn't. I would prefer if my schools left the sex stuff at home. I am more than capable of deciding when and how to teach my kids about same-sex relationships. The schools need to stay the f out of it. Also, at 7, I'm more interested in them learning how to read, write and do arithmetic. And you have to question of all the fairy tales out there, why did the teacher choose this one?

That is obviously not the case. You have been paying at least a little attention to the evolution/intelligent design debate, right?
Where is the sex education? That happens in fairy tales all the time. If this is gay sex education, then every other fairy tale is straight sex education and should also require parental consent."King & King" tells the story of a crown prince who rejects a bevy of beautiful princesses, rebuffing each suitor until falling in love with a prince. The two marry, sealing the union with a kiss, and live happily ever after.

Then it's a good thing that if you allow them to enter public education, you no longer have the option.

Exactly. They showed pics from the book on CNN and it really is just propoganda for good or bad. I'm all for gay rights but something like this doesn't belong in a 2nd grade classroom (at least without all parents consent). Likewise, some fairy tale about how sally has 1 mom and 1 dad and that is the only right way doesn't belong either, for exactly the same reason.

Next you'll be hearing about children having sex with each other, commiting murders, and then killing themselves! Won't someone think of the children? :|
Edit: Also I do believe the topic at hand may be above the childrens level at that age.

Homosexuality had nothing at all to do with the (mythical) destruction of those cities. The crime of those cities was lack of hospitality. And let's not forget - Lot was quite willing to put one of his daughters out to be raped by the mob, if it meant saving his visitors from the same fate. After Lot and his daughters left the city, Lot's daughters couldn't find a husband (as their entire tribe/ town had been destroyed, and they had no-one to turn to). In order to get pregnant, Lot's daughter's plied their father with alcohol, and then slept with him. Both of Lot's daughters became pregnant to him (their father) and gave birth to healthy baby boys. Moral of the story: if you can't find a husband, fvck your Daddy and get pregnant..?

It's actually not confusing at all to children. Children understand love and friendship. End of story. All the kids I know who are being raised by gay couples seem to think it's just normal. Their is no confusion. It's really only adults who are "confused". And by confused I mean people like you are trying to rectify or balance your deeply ingrained bigotry against homosexuasls with your sense of social justice and fairness and the emerging social consensus that homosexual people are citizens just like all opther citizens and hence are entitled to do all the things that other citizens do.

I'm surprised no one's touched the subject of why bert and ernie sleep in the same bed on what is probably the most popular little kids show.
