A few weeks back, I cut my thumb while doing some paperwork at work. The cut was deep for a paper cut. Unfortunately, the dry weather dried out my skin and pulled the edges of the cut apart slowly, resulting in a constant stinging pain for about 4 days straight.

Did you know you can get a papercut from cardboard? I was a Teacher's Assistant and I was cutting up boxes, then bam, big gash on my finger. Owwwwwww. Good thing the teacher I was helping was all cool about it and just gave me a bandaid, anyone else and they probably would have sent me to the office.

Sliding down a banister with razor blades on both sides then falling into a vat of iodine.

Oh hell yeah. I worked nightshift at Walmart for over 2 years. I never once cut myself with the boxcutter. I got plenty of cuts from cardboard though, some fairly deep, too. It's good sturdy paper on the outside, so it won't flex much as it slices through skin.

If you really want to explore further this would require knowing what kind of signal the brain receives and its meaning when there is a problem. Then just scale it extremely high and make it come from everywhere. To produce this physically you would have to tear the body into pieces (Jesus wept scene from Hellraiser?). The subject still has the experience and reaction without primary physical harm but those kinds of signals certainly would not come without cost.

Basically it would be like hacking into a large complex and triggering every sensor they have to indicate a problem. What kind of nightmare would that be?
Might as well open up the person's back and properly stimulate the spinal cord directly. I figure you could make the body think that every single pain receptor it's got is firing off at the same time.

ripping is worse than cutting.

Oh, and steel melts at ~1200, so...

How about hitting your finger on the edge of a grinder, and making a gash about an 1/8 deep on the tip?
That F'in HURTS and takes a long time to heal as well.

How about getting stabbed just under the chest area? That hurt like a motherfucker. I've had a root canal done without anesthetic (because I'm afraid of needles).. Oh, I've broken my nose a lot of times (two times proven in a hospital, nowadays I don't even go to the hospital, I just try to straighten it as much as possible in front of a mirror).. Can't think of anything else right now.

That's cheating by physical intrusion though. Doing it surreptitiously is key so it can be turned on and off at any given time gives superior control and eliminates archaic methods such as physical torture and things like tasers. ;)

I had appendicitis in the middle of a desert for 4 days without hospital access. Think of the worse side ache youve had, and then multiply it by 10. Also, you feel like you have the flu, and can't move. Luckily mine didnt rupture, although it was close.

You something is wrong when your sh!t turns green...
