See, that's the thing. You can be selective in your pickings in order to prove your point that the Bible is violent. But I can be just as selective to show that it isn't. In Islam, where G-d is allowed to contradict himself in later passages, you don't get that. The fact that the latter, more violent passages take precedent over the former, earlier ones (kinda like how the Prophet, when he was weak and just starting out, spoke of fidelity but turned incredibly violent and savage as he became stronger) and every Muslim's obligation to carry them out shows that it is certainly not a religion of peace.

wow Fail. Other than the Post-Birth Abortion "God' commanded, he also commanded Genocide, multiple times. When the Jews refused, "God" got pissed.

There's no fucking difference. Sorry.

Thanks for proving my point. In Judaism and Christianity, people sometimes go against G-d and struggle with him (hence the name 'Israel'). Our morals are derived from these passages. The morals derived are not absolute directives from G-d but lessons learned. That transferred over to other aspects of life where we allow ourselves to challenge authority and use reason. In Islam, it is one of supreme master and absolute slave.

As a Republican, I think she should just disappear. Not in the sense that she's bad for the party, but she's bad for herself.

This is more painful to watch than Michael Scott in the Office sometimes. Seriously.

You're definitely right, absolutely nobody knows what the word 'redicate' means. Ahh the OP misspelled it too.

It's from that Elton John song:

Oh but they're weird and they're wonderful
Oh Bennie she's a redicate
She's got electric boots a mohair suit
You know I read it in a magazine
B-B-B-Bennie and the Jets

Yeah, she's about as bad. She gets air time because well sex sells and most men would gladly lay some pipe if given the chance. Women like her well because women are idiots.

I wonder what the Crusades were.

A defensive war against rape, slavery, murder of Christian pilgrims to holy land and Assyrian Christians living there against you know who. Everyone knows this. Crusades are a good thing.

I think we should do it again to ME so they have religious freedoms and freedom from religion if they desire not to mention democratize the sexes.

1. This is an anti-religion and anti-Palin troll thread. Welcome, my friend, to another round!

2. Sure she has an agenda, don't you? I happen to not be exactly clear what HER agenda is, but yours is crystal.

3. Palin has not officially declared a run for ANY public office. When she does, she will be a candidate. I happen to think she is not going to make a run in 2010. She may be a candidate in 2012, by acclamation.

4. Believe me, she already has the evangelical vote. sorry to dispel the myth but you need to wake up....it was those evangelical christians who opened their eyes and woke up and voted for Obama that was one of the many reasons Obama was elected!! There is absolutely no fragmentation there. hahahaa no wonder you make a good village idiot...you are way too funny! There was tons of fragmentation among evangelical chrsitians The Republicans nominating McCain disheartened the entire conservative base, Republican and Democrat, religious or not.

Remember, the economic crisis became an issue at the end of the election cycle. Panic ensued. If those news stories did not break just at that time, you would be complaining right about now how President McCain is not doing enough about global warming and Vice President Palin would be fixing the problems with Iran. ;-)

BTW, what ARE Obama and Biden DOING about Iran's nuclear weapons program? always village idiot huh......trust me when I say that Israel will be the one to act on that issue!!

i'd hit it

Damned straight. I'd wrap those legs around my neck and let her have a conversation with G-d right there. (Joking, I'm married.)

I think she might run for Senate. She needs some seasoning if she's ever to be a credible presidential candidate. Pretty much everything good she did in Alaska was negated by her resigning and very few people, evangelical or not, think she was prepared for the '08 election. If she wasn't prepared to be vice president then, she's certainly not going to be prepared to be president in '12. Being an inexperienced political outsider has a certain appeal - witness Obama - but if Obama does well he'll be reelected in 2012. If he doesn't do well, no one (except maybe white evangelical women in Palin's case) will be looking to elect another inexperienced political outsider, and black evangelicals are going to vote for Obama in any case. That gives her a vanishingly small base in 2012, and she or at least her advisers have to know that. Yes, she has rock star popularity; so does Oprah. No one is pushing Oprah for president. And the press doesn't hate Oprah . . .

O.K. I know most of the crusades were more about about Jerusalem, but they never wrote such a cool song about that city.

Lost some but generally they treated people better afterwords. Crusades went too far too. Like anything when fundis are involved.

We would get over it if we put our minds together.

Using nuke and hydro to power batteries for cars and we generate enough oil for planes and heavy equipment domestic. There is no political will is only obstacle really.

Of course, without "Liberals", Sarah Palin would just be Todd's baby maker and housekeeper...

Darn those "Feminazis"!

You should read history. It was the Democrats that resisted women's suffrage to the very end.

http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/conlaw/nineteenthkobach.html

You mistake being "liberal" with being right. The "liberal" agenda is to keep people under the weighty thumb of government by fostering cradle to grave dependence. Nothing liberating about that.
