F**king guys. It was thought for a full decade rumored constantly that bin laden was in pakistan. So now that he's found there and gets Honey Badgered Pakistan is actually considering this? Yeah, the US went into their territory, but that is their embarrassment, no time to feign offense. To even entertain the idea of showing this to China shows that Pakistan is a little miffed that the US came into their country, instead of tripping over themselves to apologize as they should for harboring this guy (intentionally or not--and Obama, at least, says some portions of Pakistan gov must have assisted in some capacity with hiding Bin laden).

Are the idiots blaming Pakistan for being the "bad ally" drones? You invade our territory without telling us and then cry foul when we give your downed planes to our real ally? Pakistan should give everything to China and then tell the USA that they are not sorry.
You can't even control your country, vast swathes of it are out of government control. Drone attacks there don't even count since that territory is Pakistani only on a globe. Don't pretend you are offended at the US for entering Pakistan to take out the world's most notorious criminal who slept under your noses for years. You should be ashamed of yourselves, not taking offense. What did you think, that the US was going to notify your government and have them do it? The same government that has zero control over much of its territory, that is corrupt, what did you expect? I'd love to hear how this could have gone down and not upset you.

Either a) Pakistan in some official capacity harbored Bin laden or b) A *foreign* government's intelligence of Pakistan is better than Pakistan's intelligence of Pakistan. In either case, Pakistan should be apologizing. How dare you fvck up on the job so damn badly and then want to show bits of tech to China?

Time to drop a couple of big ass bombs and flatten OBL's former compound

Yup there's a pretty simple solution to this. Drop a few 1000 lb bombs on wherever the parts are being kept. Pakistan needs to understand who wears the pants in this relationship. If they are going to play games, I guess we won't be able to use our new toys for surgical strikes in the future. Next time there is a high value target in Pakistan, we can send in the B-52s instead.

If they do that, we should take the military aid we give to them and give it to India.

I'm not saying we shouldn't do that anyway but I'd be pretty surprised if the wreckage was still there.

The Pakistanis removed it with the most sophisticated technology available.....a tractor with a rope.

That this crap hole ever managed to cobble together a functional nuclear weapon never ceases to amaze me.

I dont think its productive to just marginalize thegreenbean. He is here communicating with us and we should at least spend some time understanding his position. Doesn't mean we have to agree with him but we may be able to find some common ground.

I hadn't thought of it like that. There is merit to some of that, though understanding his position seems a bit... challenging?

This. And they should not be playing both sides.

As much as I would like to say cut off the aid, if it really is what keeps the country somewhat moderate in terms of foreign policy, and keeps their nuclear weapons (who the fuck let them get nukes anyways) under control, I suppose it needs to continue.

We should cut off the free money wagon and let you make your own way... Let China hold you up like it does N Korea...

We shouldn't end all aid to Pakistan. As of this time they provide us vital supply routes for our troops, and ensuring their nuclear weapons are secure is a paramount US national security interest.

Arguing that we should cut our ties with them when they have so much influence on our policy over there right now is silliness.

Pull all the troops out of the area and we don't need any supply lines.

Pakistan and China are third world dogs fighting over scraps. In this case, the tail rotor of a helicopter. If you expect better behavior from your pets I suggest you stop picking up strays.

The problem with propping up all these "moderate" dictators is that it comes back to bite us in the long run. When they get thrown out the radicals are even more empowered and anti-American. That's how we ended up with an Islamist Iran.

At this point I'm ready to write off Afghanistan as a loss and just go after Al-Qaeda targets as we get intelligence. Move special ops and expeditionary forces in and out as needed. Tell Pakistan we will violate their sovereignty whenever we feel like it and dare them to do anything about it.

What makes you think China is a real ally? I suspect that the Chinese probably regard the Muslim religion as being completely backwards and retarded.

China isn't a dog anymore. It's grown to become a monster-sized 800 pound gorilla.

With a military equal to the next seven largest in the world combined it is the US that is the proverbial 800 pound gorilla sleeping wherever it wants including most recently Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Libya. China is at best a pack of dogs following in our wake. Certainly nothing to be trifled with, but no match for the gorilla.

The CICH-4 plans were give by China to pakistan. US knew of this and still certified that Pakistan was not illegaly working towards a nuclear weapon.

Reason being US wanted to thank Pakistan for its role in the afghan mujaheddin. funny that the rag tag islamic warriors came back and bit US in the nuts in 2001.

so to answer your question, yeah it was a tested weapn design and it wasnt very tough after that to develop newer better weapons.

The copter is no good to anybody anyways!
What made the copter special was either taken off the copter or destroyed with the copter by the Seals before they left!!

America needs to wash our hands of muslim hordes. We can do business, but never ever go into their countries. They will entice you, lie to you, welcome you like a whore on her back. Its a trap, its always a trap.

As for Pakistan they need to be punished for their betrayal.
