gawdang, i ordered at 6:55am PST, and it took longer than 5 min to order, so pointclick stopped linking me when it reached 7:00, because at that time, onvia is automatically off, so therefore i have to wait until tomorrow now =P
you do not need to order it during the time that onvia is listed on pointclick. let me repeat myself... you DO NOT need to order it while onvia is on pointclick's site. i ordered mine at 3am and once the order was received two days later, i went to the reimburesment page and submited the purchase. the reimbursement went through and i am now waiting for the check to be mailed.
This may posted before (lazy to read this long thread).
$45 off $200 at onvia.com
Not allow to post the code, find it at gotapex.
Must use AMEX card, expire date: 7/31/00
[Edit]
Someone tried it with Plextor 12x/10x/32x Recorder and the coupon is only $25 off. Gotapex got the info wrong.
i'm not sure if this is right, but i think everyone here is confused about pointclick and clicking through their links. to get the $0.05 you have to go to the link, but for reimbursements just follow their instructions and claim it. my reimbursement went through and others also have said that they got theirs eventhough they did not go through pointclicks links.
I got a 700e that shipped from Miami with same FPO/batch LO19a678 dated 5/18/00 from Malayasia as other on the board...Put in and ran at default voltage ran at 933...I am at 138 fsb=971 at 1.65v(980 has given W98 errors)... I am using a golden orb for cooling.
Just guessing I think it will run faster.
Great Deal
Thanks everyone
question has anyone else needed to change the jumpers on the the msi 6905 master slotket to get it to work or did you leave it at default install and a way she went???
Just got my 700E from the PA warehouse today, and it was a cB0 like most people have received. Mine came from the L020A065 batch, so its a week 20 with a 5/18/00 made in Malaysia date. Anyone else have this batch and have any trouble getting to 933? I'm going to try it when I get my CUSL2 tomorrow.
i too have a week 20 chip and it runs 933 at 1.75 volts. at 1.70 volts, i can boot into win2k but it locks once i get to my desktop. if i try a higher FSB, win2k locks up before i boot into it saying that various errors are present in key files and to reinstall the os
question about overclocking... does it matter what OS i am using? would it be easier to overclock using say win98 or winME when it comes out over win2k?
joefart...
I don't think that it really matters what operating system you are running but I could be wrong. I am one of the few that isn't running Win2k yet. I'm sure if you ask around in the forums you can find out for sure.
hey Spoon...
I'll post my results, but I can't run mine until tomorrow either since my CUSL2 won't be here until then. Hopefully I'll report back tomorrow night from a machine running 933!
I've usually had better luck with W2K as it seems more stable for overclocking.. Everyone please check out (and add your cpu) the cpu database at http://www.overclockers.com
YIPEE!!!
It turns out my processor shipped from OAKHAVEN, TN.
It is my MSI slot 1 slocket thingee that is comming from AHAHIEM, CA.
I got the processor today!
Batch: L020A409
Pack Date: 5/21/00
Prod Code: BX80526F700256ESL45Y
Definately looks like a cB0 !!!!!
Now I just have to wait for the slot 1 adaptor for overclocker heaven!
I'll post what clock rate I can get...
the_man: Same exact thing here. Just got my 700 cBo which shipped from PA, but my MSI converter is coming from Anaheim. I was scared there for a moment when I checked my order and saw that one of the items shipped from California. But all is well that ends well, now I gotta wait for the slocket and let it rip when it gets here.
OK, it's confirmed that you will recive the CB0 stepping P3-700 chip from onvia in Bay Area, CA.
I live in San Francisco, and I got mine yesterday, and it's runing smoothly @ 933 with the original heatsink on ASUS CUBX mobo.
Seems the San Brunor warehouse just got the new stock.
I got mine from Newark, CA and it is a cb0!!!
I could overclok it to 933 Mhz and I will try more tonight!!!. The chip is from Philipines.
What a deal!!!
