NOOOOO WHY DID THEY HAVE TO SELL OUT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fallout 3 was around 3/4 of the way done when it fell out so they shouldn't have a hard time finishing it. Wish I had a friend with the CDs though :(

For whatever reason, they've scrapped the old code and are starting from scratch... Dunno why...

Thats a shame man it looked good too

Bump for several great games. I played all of these as you did and loved them. My film star's name in Fallout 2 was Sir LancesAlot. LOL. Great stuff.

 uh... that is more expensive, in a B&M with only a regional presence (no fry's in florida), and I don't know what you're talking about with cross-posts... douchebag.

Thanks OP, I got in on both before they sold out :)

Final fantasy is totally different IMO, plus you can take one game (i.e. ff7 was my favorite) and its totally different from another (ff8 wasn't nearly as good). But comparing stories, torment and fallout are much darker than anything in ff series. Also, the level advancement in torment is totally different from anything in ff, since it follows d&d (the older rules, cant remember which ones). Fallout 2 (only one i played) has the deepest character creation and development of any of the above rpgs. You don't pick a class per se, but you pick abilities (skills) and special "perks" to customize your character, as well as customizable stats. So the way the game plays depends totally on how your character was created, whereas in ff the story is basically linear, with pre-generated characters (not that there's anything wrong with that, its just different). So, it depends on what you're in the mood for; ff=more linear, torment=still linear but more ways to handle different parts of game, fallout=least linear (so much so that i didnt know where to go next at times). end of lecture :p

You were about 15 minutes away from one of the greatest moments in the game I think. I could be wrong, it's been a while.

If icewind dale II will do, they have it for $5.90
here

After several remake disappointments, I hope the developers realize that good graphics does not a good a game maketh, and that they shouldn't do remakes anymore (just a ploy to get an established fan base to buy a sloppy game) but make good sequels or good new games. They need to bring back Krondor with its medieval campy humor, I saw the book in the bookstore, but would much rather play than read.

I picked up the Fallout pack, but I actually already have the games - didn't cost any more shipping to add them to my cart. Anyone want them?

If the item was "special" then it gets either dropped on the ground, or gets places in the inventory.
There was 2 areas that I recall that had doors you need to open, 1 in the lair of whats-his-name, and the other, I think it was a guild or something.

IMO Torment had a better story than most novels I have read. I truely had some sleepless nights late in the game... :)

It's that good and I have'nt even comple close to finishing it yet. I was waylayed buy a few reformats and lost my saves since 2002. LOL

This year I will complete Planescape. That game has the best soundtrack music too. Great sound effects and voice acting is top notch as well! With out a doubt one of the best games ever made period. Best RPG by far.

The IWD 2 graphics are simply amazing in some places. I won't spoil it for you but you get to go back into some of the IWD 1 places wich is fun. I really enjoyed playing IWD2

i odnt think its the graphics its a much better story and greater freedom to do what you want (esp with Falllout 2). Graphics were less of an emphisis back then so developers made some really good games, plus back then game developers were laid back and given freedom to experiment, now with EA and other Evils telling devlopers what to do and make, making games is just no fun, like it used to be, its just another medium ruined by "suits" (case in point: the fall of Black Isle).

I prefer 2d gameplay. Alot of IWD 2 is art. Theres no other word I could use to describe it. It should be hung in a gallery.

Order has been shipped - bought my games 10-ish hours after the promotion had started. Great shipping rates to AK!
