It's amazing how people can be suckered by pretty language.

This is the same Obama that has continued the same terrible policies and ideas from the previous administration, yet won his campaign selling nothing short of true political change.

But he's a damn fine speaker.

45 people were murdered in usa today. 515 people were killed in Usa auto accidents today. 1500 people died from cancer in usa today. etc. etc.

Sheep eat where they are herded.

Yep.

Yes, it's tragic that people were gunned down and the congresswoman was shot but the media and politicos have blown this WAY out of proportion. "national healing"? WTF? There is no national tragedy here.

He's the duly elected head of the executive branch, entrusted with enforcing the laws. I don't see anywhere in his job description where he is supposed to fly around the country on my dime giving motivational speeches. If he was doing the rest of his job well, I wouldn't be too worried about this nonsense, but instead he (and all other recent presidents) use events like this to distract from his woeful inadequacy at doing his real job.

Get the F over it. This is what presidents do. Some people are actually quite heartbroken and are wondering what this country is coming to after events like this. It's the presidents job to set the tone for the country's healing. I think he did a wonderful job and caught no since of him scoring any political points and he should not have.

I'm sorry you guys can't get over your hate for him.

Obviously the rest of the nation has already decided it is.

Sorry, you are not the decider.

🙄 Anyone directly connected to this - I fully understand how they would think this is a tragedy but it's no "national tragedy" no matter how much some of you morons want it to be. The media latched on, the politicos latched on - but that doesn't mean it's a "national tragedy". Wake up you morons.

As unfortunate as that is, that's what happens every day. What doesn't is an assassination attempt on a sitting congressman and mass murder involving a federal judge at a political rally. I think that qualifies as a BFD. Wanna see sheep? Find a mirror hack.

Yeah, clearly all the others didn't have friends and family that are affected... clearly since it included a couple "elites" it's much more important...

Sad? Yep. Tragic? Yep. "national tragedy"? Nope.

Grow a heart and soul, you unspeakable dick scarf.

Fixed.

...Is giving a fine speech right now.

Our President, our duly elected leader, is rising to the occasion and adessing every one of us with dignity and quiet, inclusive, healing eloquence.

Thank you, Mr. President.
I agree. It's almost a sermon, and I say "well done."

Oh God, what ever happened to your cold dead heart?

You really don't get it at all.

God have mercy on your empty soul.

lol, you can try to project all you want but you know nothing about me. What you don't understand is that just because rational people don't think this is some "national tragedy" doesn't mean they are soul-less. It sucks, shouldn't have happened, etc etc, but it doesn't mean everyone should get all worked up over it. As has been posted - many people get murdered every year - just because some of these were part of the "elite" doesn't mean it's some big "national tragedy". Sheesh, get a grip people.

Yep, move on folks. Nothing to see here.

We heard you the first time; did you expect to sound reasoned or intelligent by repeating your narcissistic screed?

no, i don't... however you've painted the image of a sad little man who can't accept the pain of others...

LOL - I love how he says it isn't about politics but then we have to come together and stop partisanship (IE Politics).

Any mention of politics surrounding this event is sickening.

The Democrats are trying to exploit this tragedy to get the GOP to tone down their message because they know its working.

You obviously can't read then. Nowhere did I dismiss those who were directly affected's pain. Seriously - you people need to know when to turn off the emotion spigot so as to retain some rationality.

We heard you the first time; did you expect to sound reasoned or intelligent by repeating your narcissistic screed?

you clearly didn't since you continued with your emotional whining. Meh, hopefully you'll grow up someday and realize that just because the media is covering it like it's "national" doesn't mean it really is.

It is indeed a national tragedy because of the federal officials killed (judge, congresswomen), the venue itself (townhall itself exemplifies perfectly American democracy and 1st amendment) and the fact that innocent bystanders, especially a 9 year old girl, were killed.

Bottom line, you're a tard if you don't understand why it's a national tragedy.
