hey smoke - i c we share the same tastes when it comes to keyb/mouse 😀 What's the graph you've got displayed on one of the monitors ?

Nice work area you got there Smoke. Is it always that clean?

Ha, I must admit I picked up the clutter before snapping the photo. 😛

Tradestation graph of the Nasdaq composite taken at the peak of today's action ... big sellout right after I took the photo (guess I jinxed it). 😉

Nice workstation Smoke!

I just remembered, wasn't there going to be a gallery for team rigs? What ever happened to that? I believe Evadman was going to work on it when he found time?

I notice you also made sure to get some shooting trophies casually in the background. 😉

My office is surrounded with them ... on the walls, on the credenza and in the book cases. 😛 😀

My Memories. 🙁

(Pics may load a little slowly, they're on my own cable connection, as they seem to get screwey if I try to upload anywhere else!)
I also need a better camera

The caseless computer is my in-car MP3 computer, which is currently in "installing/testing" stage. The laptop normally sits where that PC is, and the Logitech Cordless iTouch keyboard sits where the laptop is 🙂 Most of the time both monitors are hooked up to my PC, gotta love dual monitor (even if not dual TFTs like Smoke's setup 😛)

And yes, that is an electric screwdriver sitting under the front of the laptop! The fan, for some stupid reason, is on the bottom, so if it's put down on a desk, then it overheats

When it's on the shelf, it's got air all around it, but sitting on the desk, it really needs to be lifted up!!

Apart from natural bodily functions, and food/drink, I could probably get away with not leaving this room at all! 😀

Love those powder-blue monitors!

I use upended wire desk trays ("in boxes") to suspend my laptops high enough for air flows. Works great!

Hey cool, I can see one of my posts on your screen! I'm famous even in England!!

Ah yeah, the monitors 🙂 I sprayed them back in about March/April time with some Vinyl Dye, only 1-2 scratches on them, and i've mishandled them a little since then! Makes a nice difference to boring beige! They just seem to blend away, and I don't notice the frame anymore, but once I go through to the family PC, it bugs the hell out of me!!

I like that idea of using the "in boxes" 😀

Did you take the guts out of the monitors before you vinyl dyed them?

Yup. Was pretty easy. The only difficult bit was unplugging a wire for the speakers etc in the front of one of them, which had to be unplugged (and consequently plugged back in!) right in the middle at the back!

My buddy wants me to paint his monitor for him, and I told him we might be able to do it. I guess we'll give it a shot, it was a free monitor, and I told him there was risk involved 😉

Should be fun 😀

LOL, yea. That's why I don't keep anything, even power stips, right under the area where my feet go. 😱

If that were my desk, I would have smoked that printer by now. I can just picture coming home some night after having a few "soda's" and busting it in half.

The cheap inkrite (and other generic) cartridges can be a big problem. I only use genuine carts, but then I also print many photos and stuff (and my parents help pay for carts, since they print more than I do), so the quality of the cheap refurbished carts just doesn't satisfy. 🙂

I suppose if I had to pay the entire cost of the cartridges myself, I'd learn to live with lower quality and buy generic also. 😱
