just saw a snip of upcoming 60min Interview with Obama talking about decision not to release the photos. He mentioned teh utter gruesomeness of the image--two wounds above the eyes.

Anderson Cooper summarizes after the clip "massive gaping head wounds on the forehead."

Possibly why they don't want to release the pictures.

Personally I think the White House should have waited at least until all the SEALs had been debriefed before releasing the news, that way there wouldn't be changing stories, and they could have gotten out from in front of the train if it turns out orders were for a summary execution.
