not bad. From what I see, I'd hit it fair, then I'd hit it balanced. and she would enter a SPIN ZONE ;)

Ack! I guess she'd do in a pinch, but she sure as hell isn't worth $60 million. Then again, I think I'd take a copy of Club magazine over oral from Monica Lewinsky, which cost the President an impeachment - God knows we men are not always well-thought-out when it comes to these things.
Spoken like a young single man in uniform with a hot girlfriend :) The perspective of a married guy with kids cannot be described - only experienced ;)

This guy has wife-beater written ALL over him. Think of the way he treats his guests. Think of the way he treated Terri Gross. Think of the way he treats children of 911 victims. He's an abusive, grotesque figure. No surprise here.

Don:

Hmmm. Apparently, in NY if the person recorded doesn't give his consent the judge can refuse to admit the evidence. The judge has complete discretion! BUT, and this is a very big BUT, that means the recordings are not ILLEGAL unless she violated the FEDERAL wire tap law. Therefore, copies could OPENLY be sent to every newspaper in the country. :) Sheezh, that would be a bummer for Bill. :)

This thing could get very sleazy, and by implication, quite interesting. After the way he went after Clinton for his little dalliance I'd think the pundits will have a field day with him. Clinton must be laughing his butt off. :)

It would be unfortunate if O'Reilly turns out to be twisted as such. I like his show and although he has a conservative lean most of the time some of his views certainly do not go in lockstep with the "friendly to big business" conservative ideal.

At present I can't say I'd try to defend or denounce him.

Too many people of power seem to be twisted by that power.

Too many people are willing to twist the legal system to their own uses to make a buck.

hmmm.

In Those Who Trespass, there are six murders, one of which involves jamming a spoon through the roof of the victim?s mouth and up into his brain stem. O?Reilly?s book also depicts a fifteen-year-old crack whore performing this ?fellatio? business on her pimp, Robo. (?Say, baby, put that pipe down and get my pipe up.?)

Buy his book today!

I'd personally attack you for being so incredibly partisan and condescending, but you aren't even worth my time. You have all the answer Infohawk, and you are obviously more talented and intelligent than everyone else in this forum. That, begs the question then, of what exactly you are doing here?

On topic: I could see O'Reilly saying these things, but I can also see how easy it is to mimic. Personally, I don't believe the plaintiff actually was as disgusted as she made herself out to be. Why the hell would you keep going to dinner with him, or better yet why would you come back there for the same salary?

I'm guessing they either had a prior romance, O'Reilly did this and is a jerk, or she made it up. I guess it is possible that it was a consensual type of flirting and then they had a falling out. It could have easily just as well been complete harassment. My biggest issue is why she didn't complain and why she went back to Fox. I guess we will see in the coming months. They've both made themselves forcefully transparent to the public, so they will be picked apart. I hope this young lady realizes the 800 lb guerilla she just slapped.

There are and have been women who have not reported their rape experience on the same day that it happened. Just because she did not report it ASAP does not mean it's false. There could be a lot of reasons as to why she didn't report it immediately. Though I also believe that everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law just like OJ.

Leno had a couple O'reilly jokes plus a good one from Robin Williams during the show tonight. Conan just did a more racy bit where you could here the vibrator in the backround as O'reilly taked dirty to him. I guess we need not wait for franken and the lefties.

I don't think you are quite understanding the point. I can understand being shamed and scared and not reporting it immediately. What I CANNOT understand is leaving the harassment for another job that has MORE PAY, but then going back to your old job where you were "harassed." That simply doesn't compute in a logical sense in my brain.

Female Fox coworker details lewd behavior of cable TV star
OCTOBER 13--Hours after Bill O'Reilly accused her of a multimillion shakedown attempt, a female Fox News producer fired back at the TV star today, filing a lawsuit claiming that he subjected her to repeated instances of sexual harassment and spoke often, and explicitly, to her about phone sex, vibrators, threesomes, masturbation, the loss of his virginity, and sexual fantasies.

That other thread is way to big. Isn't their a countersuit?

icould have sworn I heard this thismorning. O'Reilly said it could end his career. He doesn't care. He said it's time someone makes an example out of these people that are sueing. Basically, he thinks the $60M she wants is outrageous.

And fact is if she was serious in her charges, she wouldn't be on media outlets telling her story. She is clearly trying to settle out of court. O'Reilly has made it clear that this will not settle out of court and he along with Fox I beleive is countersueing.

O'Reilly filed the extortion claim first. Then Mackris filed her sexual harassment suit 13 hours later. The funny thing is that O'Reilly's claim never really denies the alleged comments he made to Mackris. Instead it says that even if the comments were made, it was not sexual harassment. If they(fox) didn't think she taped the conversations then they would have denied them.

So it appears that the question is; Do the comments made over the phone by O'Reilly to Mackris qualify as a form of sexual harassment?

I guess it depends on what she was saying during those phone calls. If she is telling him she is uncomfortable talking about sex and to stop, then is that sexual harassment? Or if she is going along with O'Reilly and saying "yeah baby" then it is just a case of two coworkers willingly engaging in phone sex.

Either way O'Reilly looks like a jackass and a hypocrite.

Clinton vs. O'Reilly? You guys don't see the difference? One was consensual the other one wasn't. That's a big difference.

Anyone notice how O'Reilly was not on The Factor tonight? He was away on "assignment."
