bOmbrman:

Yeah, you were right to eschew comment. That is typical O'Reilly nonsense. He tried to pull similar stuff with the Franken lawsuit. That lawsuit is going exactly NOWHERE.

O'Reilly is totally whacked.

Perk: The bigger the front the bigger the back? Bwuahahahaha! I'd never heard that one before.

The information sounds like O'Reilly is trying to use the 60Million as a counter attack.

The opponents information as presently available indicates that she has hard evidence against him vs a he said-she said.

O'Reilly will have to come up with some evidence that proves the 60Mill story.

What comment would you want? "Here is O'Reilly's rebuttal:"

I'm just making sure ATP&Ners have more of the facts...

I'm a bit curious though.... if this case becomes something big... who is giong to report it? OReilly surely won't on his program and I imagine Fox would ignore the issue...

I still cannot believe people watch O'Reilly, guy is seriously mental.

they just replaced Tom Martinos troubleshooter radio show with fricken O'Reilly radio show from noon-3. Uggg i hate the radio at lunch now. i used to look forward to listening to Tom and all the dumbasses call in telling their stories on how they got ripped off.

maybe with this Tom will get his noon-3 timeslot back :D

I tend to agree. Her attorney, Benedict Morelli, is an incredibly successful plaintiff's lawyer, and I sincerely doubt he is dumb enough to have literally engaged in extortion. O'Reilly's suit has the ring of a preemptive strike - if she really has audiotape of these conversations, he is in some seriously hot water.

My prediction: You'll hear a tightly scripted explanation that he is presently involved in litigation, and that he can't talk about the details on the advice of his attorney, but that he looks forward to seeing his good name cleared and justice served. What you will probably not hear is any admission or denial of his liability as to the actual allegations.

Gee, I would never have imagined this from a man whose entire style is based on intimidation.

Say he did this stuff. Were is the harassment. Did she tell him to stop, did he use his position to try to intimicate her. Maybe they liked to play games with her game being a lawsuit in the end. Hehe, it's gonna be incredible if this stuff is true though. First Rush and Now O'Reily. Who am I gonna trust for moral outrage?

I know I ain't gonna hold my breath that this stuff is true.

I'm not a fan of Bill, his TV show can be ok sometimes, but his radio show sucks. The only thing i'm wondering is, did he ask her to "see his no spin zone."

could be an honest misunderstanding ;)

Now what the fvck are you on about with this garbage. Are you smoking crack again? Seriously.
I mean I could care less unless he caused someone to die by his actions. I didn't care about Clinton and Monica, why should I care about this? What did you think about the hypocritical Republicans going after Bubba regarding Monica and Paula Jones?

I kinda agree with RD on this, stuff like this is no big deal to me.

I'm not condoning it but if history tells you anything it's that men with power tend to be assholes, especially when it comes to subordinates and women.

LOL, if it's true his book sales will definately plummet, especially that one he wrote for kids:laugh:

Bill O'Reilly sues Fox producer
Targeted are Benedict P. Morelli, a Manhattan attorney, his law firm, Morelli & Associates, and employee Andrea Mackris, who served as an associate producer of the show.

The suit claims the pair tried to extort O'Reilly by threatening to file a lawsuit and demanding millions as a hush-money settlement. The complaint describes Morelli's demand that O'Reilly pay the pair "nothing less than $60 million." In addition, Morelli allegedly claimed he "wanted to punish not only O'Reilly, but Fox News."

im no fan of o'reilly but, as stated above: innocent until proven guilty. from what he has shown of himself, though, i wouldnt put it past him.
also...i dont think i would call this "great."
i think i would much rather have bill at large and this (this being the alleged abuse)had not happened.
if it is true, i hope he will be brought to justice...but somehow i doubt he will be.

for those wondering about comments,

his memo. obviously he cant talk about it too much.
and there is a link on that page to the fox press release.
