Power's out in Factoria, and the rest of Bellevue is iffy (one block may have working traffic lights, the next doesn't.) Traffic is pretty snarled. I hear 520 is still closed.

Power's still out at my house. Had to get the generator running so we could find out if schools are closed (they are.) I don't anticipate getting power for a day or two, we're about the lowest priority up here. I hope I'm wrong because snow is coming and I need the heat tapes and greenhouse heater to work.

Here's an article on the night's events:

I hope your power is restored soon!

Got lucky here in Tigard. I live about 1/2 mile from where they closed Scholls Ferry Road at Teal Blvd. due to fallen trees/power lines. I know the power was out in areas both east and west of my house, but I only lost power for about 15 seconds, although there was quite a bit of flickering after that. Hope no ATers had any property damage.

Smooth Sailing out here in Forest Grove. Don't think we lost power at all, lots of crap blown everywhere though..

Wifey had a heck of a time getting into work this morning however. Her restaurant is in Beaverton on Canyon and TV Hwy was a PITA with all the lights out.

No trouble in Puyallup (valley). didn't lose power, and my train was on time this morning, although the station was blacked out. A co-worker who lives on South Hill said she lost power last night, and it still wasn't up when she left for work this morning.

We had our power out last night til around 1am, luckily our gas fireplace still worked, and we slept downsatirs, yay for gas fireplaces!

Our power was off from 7:30 last night to about 9 this morning (in Aloha north of TV highway). When it went off it started flickering quite a bit. I couldn't rip the cord out of my power supply fast enough.

On the plus side, instead of wasting my time on BFME2, I was able to make a bit of progress on a book I've been trying to read. 🙂

Lost power last night in Lake Forest Park around 9:30 or 10:00. I showered while I still had hot water, went to bed, woke up freezing, and left the apartment this morning still without power. The only reason I came into work was to keep warm. I've got a pesky chest cold that won't go away. 😱

Oh, and thank goodness for the Nintendo DS's long battery life. 😀

Are you gonna be able to join us in Vent tonight?

7kW generator? Are they normally that big?

Well, portables usually aren't but actually backup systems like this are usually bigger so as to power your A/C. I'm going cheap and I figure if I lose power in the middle of the summer I can just pretent it's 1980 all over again and do without the air conditioning.

Only restarants I can think of in that general vicinity are Hooters and Stars "Steak House". :Q😉 Not that there's anything wrong with working there. I've been to both and don't have any complaints.

Our power is still out and going to town to get more gas for the generator was interesting. Had to drive over wires laying in the road and drive into the ditch to get around the tree that's blocking 80%+ of the road. It was either that or stay home because that's the only way to get out of here. Glad I have a big 4wd pickup. 🙂 The road was so full of tree branches and needles that I couldn't have gotten more than a half mile in my car. Oh, and it snowed almost all day.

Hey, I've got 7 gallons I don't need, stop on by🙂

Power's finally back up here in Bellevue after about 24 hours.

(light dims)

. . . at least for the moment. Noooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I heard a SeaTac radar was down, I hope it's up and running again soon.

Still no power here. I called the electric company last night when neighbors two houses down from us got their power back on and they said that even though all they have to do was throw a switch on the pole a quarter mile down the road, they won't come out here until they get power back on in Vernonia. :| PGE got the tree off of the road and got the power lines up and running.
