Big rain in my area King/Snohomish Cty line. Power keeps flickering, but still on...for now. Have candles going, just in case.

I got those 9 led flashlights from fifthunit...
🙂...

Edmonds apparently got hit.
Btw... if you live near the king/snohomish line, u must live in LFP or Shoreline... I live near Mountlake 9 🙂.

Yeah, I had my flight from Hillsboro cancelled but after feeling the winds in the area, I probably wouldn't have wanted to fly anyways.

:| I was going to watch a movie tonight but with the lights dimming every minute or two no hope of that.

Luckily I have a flashlight and a pile of books to read . . .

Yeah it snowed pretty hard here today and I had to deliver pizzas all night in it. Luckily customers are gracious and tipped well and weren't mad that they all had to take 45 minutes to an hour.

Power is out in some places, but not all.

Tell me, what kind of tip is a $20 bill considered for say $15 worth of pizza? I've always wondered because I always order the same amount of pizza and I always give my guy a $20.

EDIT: I mean the tip is the $5 in change, not a $20 bill on top of the $15.

Power is really bad here in the Willamete valley, I'm here in Corvallis and I lost power for about two and half hours, its on now but I don't know how long.

Has anyone heard if its passing or if this is just the beginning?

When I called the power company at around 9:30pm they has said up to 85,000 had lost power in Corvallis/Albany area.

Kind of funny how I don't even notice there is a storm outside. I'm staying at an apartment with only one outside wall and thick windows so only the occassional power flicker lets me know whats going on.

Oops, thats for all of Oregon

69 MPH peak gust in Vancouver

Been fun so far. We've been without power most of the evening, but came back on about an hour ago. Still blowing like crazy though. I had to go up to the 'Couv earlier and traffic was freakin' stupid.

edit: BTW, I am in outer SW, near Scholls Ferry and Beav-Hills Hwy.

The west side (Beaverton) is getting HAMMERED according to NewsChannel 8.

Dang. We're just getting light drizzle here in Nor Cali!

I'm from Ukiah too - Seattle's "heavy rains" ARE NorCal's "light drizzles". 🙂 The wind is pretty rough right now though.

Meh. My GF is watching the news. I'm just listening to the wind shaking the house. 🙂

Seattle (Capitol Hill) here, we've had a few brown outs and some heavy winds, a little bit of thunder. All in all, not a bad evening so far. However, the worst is supposed to hit from midnight to 6AM, so we'll count our blessings in the morning.

Lost power here in Covington for about 30 seconds, other than that it has been pretty steady. Seeing as how both my ups's are dead, I'm on my laptop. 🙂 Shut down the desktop this morning before work.

Power's still out at my house. Had to get the generator running so we could find out if schools are closed (they are.) I don't anticipate getting power for a day or two, we're about the lowest priority up here. I hope I'm wrong because snow is coming and I need the heat tapes and greenhouse heater to work.
