Sounds like the Trump administration is making up a reason for claiming the organization is in default on their lease so that Trump can enshittify more things by slapping his name on stuff and taking direct control.
Trump probably has designs on it like the skating rink in New York he finally had to fork over.
 
The real tell on whether or not Trump is even remotely functional is how long it's been since he's hit the golf course.

He has been golfing a lot reportedly but the major difference this year seems to be that he's almost never photographed doing it like he used to be. For reasons unknown.
 
If I were one of the coked up psychopaths in the WH and I witnessed daily the rapid disintegration of grandpa, I would probably be feverishly trying to pursue my interests before Vance takes over.
