Got the second to last carton of eggs in the entire store yesterday after there were none last time. Guess they aren’t expensive enough yet — prices need to rise to fix demand. I’ll pay $30 for them if it means some Trumptard can’t afford them.

Yet another Trump accomplishment. Inflation on the rise. But...but you people were told Trump would lower your grocery bill. What maroons you people are. - Bugs Bunny

Well the morons are clueless about how the president has no control over global inflation, but you know for sure that these morons will now take a forgiving attitude about it now that the chosen one is their leader.

Ohh he better watch out, a strongly worded letter.

Before long he might talk about it on a presser. Then Trump will really be in for it.

Susan Collins is saying " I thought he learned his lesson" for the 1000th time.

The only way to win is to get some Republican shitheads on your side. That's the problem with being in the minority. Grassley publicly signaling this is a net good thing.

I more meant 'this isn't going to do anything, they're not only going to have to impeach him again, but you may need to actually oust him by force, behind a few dozen armed supporters who try to prevent you'. They're playing in the wrong playground right now.

The beauty of the freeze is that it also hits every red district/state, many of whom have far fewer resources. When constituents start calling that that they can't get food or see a doctor shit gets pretty real quickly.

A lot of Trump's cabinet has still not been approved. He needs the Senate and Congress for a chunk of his agenda. Pissing off his allies is not going to help him.

And yes, more extreme things should be done, but Mike Johnson is up there on Shithead Mountain sticking his thumbs up his ass, so not exactly counting on impeachment for the moment.

Haha, he'll just install them as 'temporary executive officers' and tell the Senate to fuck off.

Hell, he doesn't even want half the sections of government to be functioning to begin with, what does he care if the USDA doesn't have an acting leader.

Oath of Enlistment, just for funsies:
"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice."

So I assume some judge is going to issue a TRO pretty soon given *gestures at looming collapse of government programs and possible impending descent into mass unrest* uh everything.

I lay 3-1 odds that the admin ignores the order.

Yeah... You think a judge is going to be pro or anti defendant when they basically schedule a hearing in 30 minutes? Something tells me it isn't the former.

Somehow I don't think that the judiciary is going to be real eager to assist the WH in this absolutely moronic and very clearly illegal debacle.

No, Roberts and co typically want a veneer of respectiblity and legality, and this has none of that. Just typical hamfisted idiocy.

I disagree. Giving presidents unlimited power is the very reason Roberts, Alito, Gorsuch, and Kavanagh were placed on the court.

Rapidly destabilizing the country could potentially have some pretty bad outcomes for them personally, which at least Roberts is likely to comprehend.
