Trump is going to pardon the ex-Honduran president, who was convicted in a drug case and was conspiring to bring cocaine into the US. Remember when Trump was claiming drugs were pouring across the border? Apparently, he meant not enough drugs were pouring across the border.

So he is bombing random boats because they may (probably not) running drugs

But he will pardon a convicted drug runner

Will a maga person explain this like I am stupid?

What’s next. He is going to pardon the people that were killed in the boats

This makes perfect sense since Trump could care less if Americans stuff drugs up their nose. You just have to look at things in perspective. Trump's handlers know that Venezuela is not a major producers of drugs; rather they see nothing but $$$ by looting Venezuela's oil. So they feed the dementia orange stain a bunch of bullshit so he will bomb the hell out of Venezuela hopefully producing a regime change - Trump spits out his bullshit on social media - has no clue whether it is true or not and does what his handlers want - why not as long as he can siphon his billions while presidents he could care less what others do and weather it is America's national interest or anything else at all.. After all at his heart he is a moronic mouth piece and nothing more.

You could try paging one of the resident bootlickers, but you know, "[they] don't have to justify themselves to you" or "[they] haven't heard about this, and maybe it's bad, but [their] brains leaked out the ears."

Robert Page and his book "Bombing to Win" basically argue that airpower alone does little for strategic aims. It seems to be a lesson that few take to heart because US presidents have been fed for decades by advisors that they can get "bloodless" (for Americans) results with airpower alone. No, don't look at CENTCOM dropping a billion dollars of munitions on Yemen with no results to show for it...

Another drug trafficker pardoned. Trump already pardoned Ross Ulbricht.

I thought pardons were always done at the end of the term on the way out. Trump pardons someone every fucking week! Congress must fix this pardon nonsense. This lunatic has so abused the pardon power that many of the people he has pardoned have recommitted crimes. I'm old enough to remember when Trumpers pretended to be outraged by the appearance of a small cocaine baggie in the White House.

U.S. prosecutors said Hernández governed Honduras as a “narco-state,” leveraging the presidency to help move more than 400 tons of cocaine toward the United States in exchange for millions in bribes from major traffickers, among them “El Chapo” Guzmán.

Maga: - Killing fisherman "drug smugglers" is totally fine because they are killing Americans.

Also Maga: - Letting drug dealers go free is totally fine because, rea$on$.

Trumps many pardons - Trump has no problem with drug traffickers, domestic terrorists, cop killers, wife beaters, financial scam artists, money launderers, fraudsters, or other criminals.

They just have to pay him.

Trump says the convicted drug trafficker was treated "very harshly and unfairly", as he is murdering people he accuses of trafficking drugs without proof.

You just can't make this stuff up!

Northwestern University leadership is filled with cowards who would throw their institution's legitimacy and legacy under the bus for *this* administration when Trump has an approval in the freakin 30s.

It's crazy to watch institutions still cave to him when his approval is under 40% and dropping. Organizations and companies that have engaged in these payoffs and quid pro quos should be investigated and prosecuted after this is all over. Specifically the people making the decisions so they can't hide behind a company checkbook.

Increasing examples of Trump's grip loosening as people in the Republican party confront both what is likely to be a historically terrible midterm and as an aging, ailing leader who is working on Hoover popularity has the country turn on him. That coalition could well crack wide open if November goes badly (very likely).

Man in hotdog suit saying how we're all trying to figure out who did this.

I can't blame northwestern; ignoring their internal view on the matter court cost are really expensive esp when the govt could careless how much tax payer money they waste.... while 75 million might have been a bit more than the total bill when spread out over three years AND having funding restored it is an economic win.

Beyond the moral and ethical problems with caving to Trump there is the practical fact that once you do so he'll be back for more with no end in sight. It is simply a strategic error to do so.

Sounds like trump was in on a failed plan to get Bolsonaro out of Brazil before his 27 year prison sentence began. I can't find a news article that covers what he said to reports so here is Maddow covering it ..

You also forever tarnish your brand, one of the big things that makes elite universities capable of commanding high tuition, attracting the top students, and creating future donors.

Trump is trying to pressure him into voting for a new map in Indiana. He said no.

He did win with the existing map

If I were him I would not want to change a thing

Yes, that is kind of the point here. The party rank and file had been almost exclusively doing whatever Trump wanted even if it damaged their own personal political prospects. Signs that's beginning to come to an end. Epstein discharge petition succeeding was another such signpost.

His polling is in the shitter and probably is going to get worse. He's out of gas and people in his own party are realizing it. Anybody who wants a political future in 5 years is sure as hell at least thinking about cutting him loose.

Yeah, this syphilitic orange menace plays "golf".
But golf is a game of honor and good character. Players are expected to call infractions on themselves when they occur This vile, piece of shit has no honor and cheats at every turns. He claims to have won 38 club championships? I would venture to say, he has not won one.

Here's a story about Mike tirico, who played with trump.

"This, of course, would not be the first time that President Trump has been accused of "cheating" during a round of golf.

NFL announcer Mike Tirico says that he once played a round of golf with President Trump, Jon Gruden and Ron Jaworski.

Tirico, a 12.3 handicap, hit the 3-wood of his life on a par five. He had 230 yards into a blind green. Tirico's shot was heading directly for the pin.

However, when Tirico and his caddie arrived to the green, the ball was nowhere to be found. The ball was ultimately found 50 feet left of the pin, in a bunker.

Tirico was shocked.

From golf.com:

“Lousy break,” Trump said to Tirico, who checked the marking on the ball to be sure it was his. It was. Befuddled, it took Tirico two swipes to escape the bunker on the way to a 7.

“Afterwards,” Tirico remembers, “Trump’s caddy came up to me and said, ‘You know that shot you hit on the par 5? It was about 10 feet from the hole. Trump threw it into the bunker. I watched him do it.’”

What did Tirico do? He laughed, shook his head, went inside, and paid Trump his money. When it comes to golf, Trump is the tornado and you are the trailer."

Problem is what is waiting after Trump...a Fuentes/Tucker type of personality and the GOP is ripe for that kind of takeover.

We are going to look back at the Trump presidency as tame compared to what's coming next.
