Yes: they should do a lot of things - impeach and convict him and his cabinet, tossing them from office and barring them from future office should definitely be top of the list.

Among other things: fix SCOTUS and its many-a-recent atrocious rulings (like presidential immunity); and implement other much needed reformation of the government (eg, moving to a parliamentary style system to neuter executive power; reducing or reforming the Senate [maybe one house is district-level reps and one house is proportional for the state, with both being set by population]).

Except that's not really how any of it works. The War Powers Resolution is such a wishy-washy thing, and we should can just go by the clear Constitutional text: Congress has the power to declare war. As written, it clearly means it must be an affirmative action that Congress takes. The actions taken in the Caribbean and the Pacific are illegal, and the actions Trump and Co want to take in Venezuela are also illegal.

Even if we feel they are going to break the law, it is still good to stand up and point out when they do, and continue to use it as a cudgel against those that care not for our Republic and its underlying values of "a government of the people, by the people, and for the people". Their anti-constitutional and anti-Liberal actions are not going unnoticed.

Beyond prosecuting all those involved in these illegal actions, it's high time Congress strip out Special Operations Command. The propagation of so-called Special Forces outside the general chains of command is bad. It gives politicians this perception that military action can be taken with no major consequence, which is simply not true, and takes away strategic focus from things that would actually win major wars. And they are also a hotbed for cowboys and perpetuating this stupidity of the "cult of the operator".

But it was the Trump administration who wanted to leave Afghans who helped our military in Afghanistan out in the cold, and who continually demonizes anyone who isn't of WASP heritage.

Yes I'm well aware that one of the key reason (but not the only reason) Biden withdrew from Afghanistan was that Trump signed an agreement to do so with the taliban.
