To further build on this story, a Congressional Republican's staffer had a American Flag/Nazi Flag combo behind him:

While on “The Charlie Kirk Show” on Wednesday, Vice President JD Vance appeared to downplay the incident, describing the messages as “edgy, offensive jokes” told by “kids.”

When reacting to the Young Republicans’ messages, Stefanik and Vance each pointed to the recently unearthed 2022 text messages sent by the Democratic nominee for Virginia attorney general in which he described a hypothetical shooting of a former state House speaker. Vance said those texts were “far worse” than what was in the Young Republicans’ group chat and that he refuses “to join the pearl clutching when powerful people call for political violence.”

I think this is the more likely outcome.

I've considered the possibility that the TX gerrymander could backfire, but I think the increased ICE attention on anyone that even looks like they've had a good tan would negate it. Coupled with increasing occupations in an ever expanding set of locations, the Dominion sale, legal shenanigans, and my natural pessimism, I just don't have a good feeling about free and fair elections going forward.

Yeah, nothing is backfiring until Texans collectively decide to stop electing the same shitbags over and over.

Even if there wasn't GOP extreme gerrymandering, population shifts to TX/FL make EC math different after the 2030 census. Just holding the Blue wall alone (+Omaha, NE) would no longer be enough for Dems to win the WH. Not only do we need to rebuild the Blue wall just to have a chance, NV and GA are pivotal states going forward.

Again, falsely claimed he is cutting prescription drug prices by a mathematically impossible 200% to 800%

Again, falsely claimed he has secured “over $17 trillion” in investment in the US this year, nearly double the White House’s exaggerated “$8.8 trillion” figure

Again, falsely claimed he has ended “eight” wars; this figure counts two disputes that weren’t actually wars and one war that is still running

Falsely claimed Democrats are trying during the government shutdown battle to give $1.5 trillion to undocumented immigrants.

Falsely claimed the prevalence of autism was just 1 in 20,000 just “20 years ago or so,” though the actual figure about 20 years ago was between 1 in 125 and 1 in 110
