We also had been working so long to hold the line against Chinese influence in the south pacific and SE asia. But that involves foreign aid, so I imagine that's all out the window now.
 
Trump just told the White House press pool that an Israeli air strike on Iran “could very well happen” soon.

I can’t tell if he’s subtly giving Netanyahu a green light for a planned strike, blabbing about an imminent attack, or just spitballing with the press. Or is this just a negotiating tactic to get a deal with Iran?

He’s so fucking cavalier about his job that it’s hard to take him seriously on anything, never mind what could be one of the most consequential decisions of his presidency.
