Thanks, created 't ctrl shift' for new private tab/page.
If you press Alt it opens the menu in keyboard mode every option has a letter underlined
For a private tab pressing Alt t e in sequence opens a private tab.
The Alt menu is great in full screen pressing Alt e t s switches on the status bar which i have modified into a address bar/status bar with several buttons added.
F11 to go to Full screen, F2 to enter a address or search, F4 toggles the Panels, Ctrl B opens the bookmark panel.

There is a great translate button from Google you can drag & drop onto a toolbar press shift key before dropping.
http://translate.google.com/translate_tools one press & it translates the whole page.
User Java script

custom buttons most still work

How to block Ads

Don't forget to Alt a to open the appearance panel click on skins then get more skins.
In Panels turn on the panel Toggle
Loads of Options in Toolbars.
And if you have trouble with a Page loading right click & select edit preferences then network mask as Firefox or right click & open with another browser.
Have fun.🙂

Privacy issue : Do you guys know equivalent of firefox's 'Better Privacy' extension to manage Flash Cookie.

I think now all major browsers have Private Browsing mode, so when someone is browsing in Private Mode the browser shouldn't allow setting Flash Cookie or should automatically delete it on exit.

Going to Adobe site to manage your cookies is just wrong.

opera has private tabs, right click on a tab and you will see or go through the menu.

You can prob make a quick key to it, but i dont care to.

The keyboard shortcut to New Private Page is already solved.

The 2nd issue (more of flash related) remains.
Open a new Private Tab.
Sign-in into Gmail.
Sign-out.
Close browser.
(Private Session ended, theoretically we assume the browser doesn't know where you been)
Open browser again.
Google "Adobe Flash cookie".
Click on the first search result.
Shows flash 'Settings Manager' (2x2 inch table in center of page).
Click on 2nd tab from right "Website Storage Settings"
You will see in the 'Websites visited' list:
'mail.google.com' is in the list.

so....they know you been to gmail. So ideally we want Opera & Adobe to workout that when a user is working in "Private Mode" that means 'please no flash cookies' or 'delete flash cookie on exit'.

Hopefully Opera will fix that soon , until they do you can right click on any site
& edit site preferences /cookies & set never accept cookies or delete cookies on exiting Opera.

is it just me or did they remove the search bar from the Speed Dial page? im pretty positive there used to be a line there to just type in a search item and have your search of preference find it.

NM found it, seems that the update turned that off for whatever reason

Came across this Adobe article
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/privacy_mode_fp10.1.html

Hopefully Opera will be added to the list. Maybe Opera can go one step further and add a checkbox to Cookie prefs "delete new flash cookies when exiting flash"

Still haven't fixed the element loading issues. Many pages will load like 172/176 elements and never entirely finish loading.

This causes the "thinking" mouse cursor to never go away which is super annoying.

Common problem for many people, and one of a few reasons I'll never use Opera.

....

Yes I noticed that too. The page load progress in right corner of the Address Bar. Same concept is there in Firefox, shows progress as a pie/circle at the place of tab favicon. It used to get stuck for last remaining 1% in earlier nightlies of firefox.

I think in both Opera & Firefox it gives psychological impression that the Page is loading slow even though it might be loading at normal speed. Maybe they should remove the mouse hourglass (busy state) icon to pointer icon after 98% of the elements have finished loading.

anyone else having issues with 10.6 not remembering links you have followed? you know how they change color if you have clicked on them. on these forums for example mine change to yellow if i have entered a thread and are blue if not. for some reason they keep resetting making it hard to remember posts ive already read. i haven't changed any settings and this didnt happen before

it used to happen back in the opera 8 or 9 days randomly as well

still having this issue, and its sporadic sometimes they stay for a few days sometimes a few hours
