HomerJS brought it up, not me, I provided video of Obama proving him wrong, and strangely enough, no one will watch it. Hmmmmmm.

Wrong at least one person stated they watched the whole thing and did not hear what you claimed. Put up or shut up.
Regarding OP he said IF. That's different than "Trump said" but I'll concede OP's fear is unfounded.

New laws abridge currently existing rights, and just where the fuck did "confiscating guns" get discussed in this thread, except where you just randomly threw it into the discussion? Grow the fuck up and learn to read instead of spin your POV.

You responded to someone saying that Obama was not going to take away the 2nd amendment. You said that he literally was going to take away the 2nd amendment. That was never said, and now you are trying to say that he wanted to do something different. Did you maybe mistakenly say something you did not mean?

Here, try and keep up sunshine.

"So righties were not paranoid that Obama would take away people's second amendment rights yet you claim it's dumb for the OP to worry about his 1st?"

You responded with...

"He called it his biggest failure..."

Some ambiguity there, but it goes on. Here is Spy's response.

"He did not call being unable to take away people's second amendment rights his biggest failure. What a ridiculous lie."

To which you responded with.

Actually, he did, you didn't watch did you? That's from CNN, and it's Obama saying exactly that."

So, to sum it up, Spy said Obama never said his biggest regret was taking away the 2nd amendment. You responded with "yes he did". That is wrong and was not said. You can pretend that you did not say it, but its literally saved in your post.

I'm just saying.

It's scary. An incoming president who gets peeved at the slightest little criticism. What's going to go down when he is actually POTUS?
What's going to happen?

They are going to keep poking him, that's what's going to happen.

Slow news day? Poke Trump with a stick, report on twitter storm from President.

He's the perfect stooge for the media.

Exactly. The idea that passing regulations is taking away someone's second amendment rights is ridiculous. Do people think that parade permits take away their first amendment rights?

So regulating who you're allowed to be critical of (Can't say something bad about Trump!!) would be perfectly fine, just passing regulations so obviously not taking away anyone's first amendment rights!

Nonsense. You can easily regulate away any and all rights that way. There has to be an extremely high threshold before any regulation of constitutionally guaranteed rights is allowed, and trying to do an end-run around the amendments to suit an agenda can not be allowed to stand. I'm consistent about that by the way, it's just as wrong when the righties try to effectively ban abortion by introducing BS medical requirements as it is when lefties try to take away second amendment rights through requirements and restrictions.

If regulating a right is inherently removing it then we never had any rights to begin with.

Regulating something is not always removing it, but it can easily be abused to do just that if you're not extremely careful about the regulation.

We do that. You cant say thing like you want to kill/harm, or others should kill/harm anyone.

There are also regulations on abortion.

I'll accept this statement to some degree even though I don't totally agree with it. I won't accept someone claiming "Obama said his #1 regret is failing to take away everyone's second amendment rights" when Obama was talking about more gun regulations. These are very different things to say in my opinion.

You CAN regulate rights away but regulation of rights is not inherently removing that right. His claim that they were equivalent was a ridiculous and transparent lie.

Obama: 'If you ask me where has been the one area where I feel that I’ve been most frustrated and most stymied, it is the fact that the United States of America is the one advanced nation on earth in which we do not have sufficient common sense gun safety laws."

Zakaria said, “He failed to pass any firearms legislation. By the time it became a priority he simply did not have the political capital.”

"Common sense gun laws" is a dog whistle for gun control, there's video of that too, but since no one will watch it, why bother?

You-all are hilarious, don't ever change, Obama & Hillary have been one of the best things to happen to the gun industry ever.

I just don't even know what to say you are obviously incapable of reflecting on what you originally said and are incapable of admitting a simple mistake or even a misspoken word. Again I'll accept someone being concerned about more gun regulations but I won't accept spinning that to Obama wants to take away everyone's 2nd Amendment Rights.

Thank you for confirming that your original statement was a lie and exactly what I predicted.

New gun laws take away 2nd amendment rights. His intent was to pass new gun laws.

Just wait, we might even be able to buy silencers at Wal Mart soon.

Oh, so in other words had Clinton said one of his primary regrets was not stopping Aldrich Ames sooner so that he couldn't tell the Russians classified information you would have described it as Clinton being sad he hadnt removed first amendment rights?

As he said, you seem to be unable to admit you were wrong.
