My buddy brought me a crunchwrap this morning.

Didn't really care for it. It's alright, but honestly if I didn't see that there was sausage, egg, and cheese in there I wouldn't have believed it because it just tastes like potato. I won't argue with its convenience of eating on the go, but there's just no flavor. Given the choice I'll be going with a mcmuffin or something similar, because I can actually taste the sausage at other places.

I wonder how places like Pizza Hut and Taco bell can stay in business.

Their food is awful, and all the competition is better, and generally in the same price range.

People say that starting a new restaurant is hard, but how can these shit places with awful menus and horrible ambiance survive?

Every town (at least around here) has their share of little indie taco or burrito places that make way better food (sober OR drunk.) These little taco or burrito places often are cheaper than taco bell too.

lets see, where i live Pizza hut makes the best pizza out of the 5 pizza places in town and Taco bell isthe only place that sells tacos.

its like that in many parts of the country

also have you ever been in either place? they are packed all the time. same with McDs and BK and well any fast food place

As far as fast food restaurants go, I actually like Taco Bell. (My opinion is definitely shaded also by the fact I live in New England where decent taco places are few and far between).

I've tried the Taco Waffle. It's terrible. The "waffle" tastes like cardboard. The stuffing (which falls out all over the place if you get it to go) is basic scrambled eggs (OK) and fatty but real bacon.

It was overpriced for what it was also.

I predict a short life for this product, and maybe for Taco Bell breakfast as well. The menu was limited and overpriced compared to other fast food breakfasts.

It was $4.50 for the crunchwrap, 2 cinnamon balls and a coffee. As someone that eats McDonalds or Chik-fil-a breakfast most days of the week, that makes Taco Bell cheaper.

Chic-fil-a has really good biscuits. I don't care what you put between them, but they're always good

Worth the price IMO

Gross. Just make your own waffles from scratch and add marinated skirt steak and other mexican ingredients you can buy at the grocery store

Sure, that'd be faster and easier, but for those with the time don't you think Taco Bell is probably higher quality?

There's a Taco Johns on my way to work that I've gotten breakfast at a couple times, but I have no interest in the Taco Bell breakfast.

wtf?

you are saying making from scratch is faster and easier than going through the drive-thru?

and you are seriously suggesting that taco bell has higher quality than making from scratch?

Driving there, waiting, and driving back, yes. Especially if you have slow cooker. I can make quac, grate and use the black beans or chicken protein waiting in about the same time it takes to go to a close taco bell.

I posted this because I know everyone on AT loves Taco Bell because it's the best Mexican food place around (at least here in Texas.)

no, just no, there are better texmex places in texas. and taco bell really isn't mexican, at all.

we've got a decent mexican fast food place here in KC called Pancho's(NOT related to Pancho's in texas) that I like. their burritos are huge.

It may be cheaper, but cheap doesn't equal good and nothing strikes me of Taco Bell being anywhere near as good as Chik-fil-a or McDonalds for breakfast.

Pancho's, the Texas variety, was great back in the 1980s and early 1990s. Now, they are really scarce and from what I hear extremely bad.

They are disgusting, actually. The new breakfast burrito thing is good though.
