It's Texas, so it's either a dust-storm red or petro-chem black depending on which part of the state.

That's on this planet. Can't find good Mexican food in Texas is like...

Not being able to find sand in Arizona. Although, New Mexico does have better Mexican food than Arizona. Go figure.

I just don't like mexican food. I like Taco Bell and Chipotle. I have no appreciation for higher quality mexican food.

That's my problem with the military. They don't understand anything that doesn't come wrapped in a national chain logo. We've trained entire generations to not only eat crap but, to enjoy it. Soups and salads are "fillers " and, I'm pretty sure recruiters fill their quotas by promising 'cruits they'll never have to eat vegetables again. We've been infiltrated by corporations and defeated before we ever see the battlefield.

You're failing lunch and it's going on your permanent record!

Good job being proof of your own unsustainable thinking. Go give your degree back and flip burgers until you can pass remedial English.

Everyone in the military is the same. I don't enjoy any other cuisines served at local, non-chain restaurants. I hate all soups and salads.

Probably because you've never had quality Mexican food.

I feel like everyone who's ever said this to me has ended up frustrated. I've eaten at all the most famous places in Dallas, El Paso, San Antonio, Houston, Austin and down in the Rio Grand Valley, as well as Mexico City. Oh, and all over SoCal. My brother lives in Hollywood, he's a mexican food fanatic (tacos erryday) and he's mystified that I don't love the places he takes me.

Sorry, I just don't think anyone's doing anything revolutionary with beans, rice, meat and cheese. Give me the cheap, standardized version.

See! :D
I feed retirees dating back to Korea, enlisted, noncoms and, officers. By and large, yes, they're all the same. They can't identify common foods without a sign. Italians apparently eat nothing but pasta, lasagna and pizza. Chinese have to serve rice but, nobody eats it. Mexicans eat variations on tacos, fajitas and, enchiladas and that's it. Any ethnic foods outside of those three are "furrin," suspect and, not possibly worth my "American " money. It'd be hilarious, if it wasn't proved true on a daily basis. o_O

I like plenty of new fusion cuisines, vietnamese food, korean food, japanese food, french food, etc. I just don't think Mexican food is very special.
