Her: dont bring other people into this
Me: when you say you are cutting yourself i have to

Me: again, when you say you are hurting yourself like that, i have to
Me: and i only brought in someone who we both could trust
Her: I dont want her knowing
Me: i dont want you hurting yourself or even using it as something to get attention
Her: I would never use it to get attention
Me: i am doing it for your sake
Her: im sorry I dont want [her best friend] worried
Her: dont talk to her about it again
Me: no, if i feel that you are hurting yourself, you need someone to help you
Her: im perfectly fine so leave me alone
Me: if thats what you want then fine...

I believe it is time to cut off all contact with her. Kind of makes me sad because she is a pretty cool girl when she isnt like this.

CONFIRMED.

She didn't want anyone to know but you, so you would feel bad for her. Next time (really should block list her, and ignore the drama queen, find a new girl), call: parents and police.

There is nothing you CAN do except make sure she gets help.

You need to do that and i am not fvcking kidding either, she has problems that are beyond her control, that is why she resorts to physically harming herself.

people that cut themselves dont want attention all the time, in this case because she told you she wants you to notice, often times cutters wont tell anyone. Also cutters do it because it feels like they are realeasing pain inside of them through the cuts, not because you deserve it. Its a way of dealing with other pain (emotional). So, I have a hard time in believing this girl is that screwed up to cut herself, she just needs/wants your attention.

1) You should've called 911 and told them that she said she was going to slit her wrists. After the ambulance shows up at her house, her parents will figure out that it's time to get her some counseling.

2) Block her on AIM.

she needs to learn now, before this develops, that this is not the way to get the type of attention she wants.

I would keep a record of that chat and let her parents know about it.
If they don't believe you then at least you warned them if things do
turn for the worse.
She may just be looking for attention or she could really be considering
it and you surely don't want that to be on your conscience if she was to
do it really.

lol, some of you guys are nuts.

I have blocked her on AIM and told her friend to keep a look out for her. I have tried for the past month to help her and be her friend, but this threating of cutting herself has got me thinking that I am only making the situation worse. I don't think I wanna take it as far as calling the cops on her, but if this happens again (which shouldnt now that she is blocked) I will seriously consider calling the cops.
