OMG is right...yikes!

I can understand about waiting for sex 'til marriage, but KISSING? These people must be super extra double conservative plus plus.

It's silly but I'm not gonna laugh at them for what they believe...might even respect them for it...

If you're a girl who's marrying a guy you've never kissed before, I doubt sex is real big on your agenda anyway (reply to the small wee wee comment)

what if he has bad breath, what if he is the type that slobbers all over you, the possibilities are endless! i don't think this marriage is going to make it.

If they're that committed, I'm sure they'll force it to work...whether it's fun or not depends on luck :)

Reminds me of a Australian commercial where they dont have sex until after marriage and the bride goes into the bathroom and takes a piss... Standing up.

What do you mean, what if.. I mean, if they haven't kissed, he must have a little wee-wee.

well, I guess that is their choice. I have a friend who is did not kiss till he was engaged, and that was cool with him. I just think you should do it at least on the day before your wedding, you don't want any suprises when you are trying to kiss someone in front of the audience at your wedding

Marriage is a public testament of two individuals' commitment to each other. Monogamy itself is certainly not "artificial"...

BIG DEAL!!

Oh my God, you guys are weird!

LOL! I don't see why you're tripping when the statistic on divorce doesn't favour those who have done it all before marriage even. So quit speaking as if something like this predestines the marraige to misery or divorce.
rolleye.gif
Kissing does not require a genius . . . it's a skill that can be acquired! :Q ;)

The only issue I would have here is how long she's known the guy. If she's known him past 6 months and preferrably for at least one year, then it's all good. They'll most likely have a successful marriage if they invest in it. ;)

Ok, correct me if I am wrong but how do you show affection without kissing? Holding hands? Goodness, most people outgrow that at 12-13! The marriage is doomed.

u think not having kissed before being married is normal?

i seriously don't think we're the WEIRD ones here and u just compared kissing to sex. two totally different things :p

btw, i was joking about their marriage being doomed. to each his own, anyone can make a marriage work even if they haven't kissed before or after marriage but i still think it's weird!

LOL! I don't see why you're tripping when the statistic on divorce doesn't favour those who have done it all before marriage even.

actually those statistics aren't a very good indicator. for example, 100 years ago, the divorce rate was lower than it is now. but would you say that people had happier marriages back then? not necessarily so, since there are factors that may influence the decision to get married, even if people are unhappy. often times, people who have strong religious beliefs will try and force a marriage to work, because getting a divorce would be "wrong". divorce is an indicator of failure, but staying married is not necessarily an indicator of success.
