<< Ok, correct me if I am wrong but how do you show affection without kissing? Holding hands? Goodness, most people outgrow that at 12-13! The marriage is doomed. >>

Maybe a simple "I love you" ?

if a girl kept on telling me that, but refused to back her words up, i'd be inclined to think she was lying.

btw...did they meet when they were 8 or something? How did they each catch someone who'd never touched the opposite sex before?

They've both gotta be either extremely religious or extremely oogly

Nope, I am not comparing kissing to sex. My point was your argument, which you have now indicated was a joke, simply rested upon shaky grounds, since statistically those who met the criteria you believe to be a prerequisite have had a high rate of divorce worse than the other. Indeed, to each his own. :)

Go Punk, you are right that 'no divorce' does not imply success as in happiness. And I did not attempt to use such indicator for such purpose. I endeavoured to use it for what the original poster and others stated or implied that a relationship in which the couples did not kiss before marriage was doomed as if any more than those who met such criteria are.

"Ok, correct me if I am wrong but how do you show affection without kissing?"

You sure do and can, hon'. So, correct me if I am wrong: kissing is the only and true way to show affection?

(I figured we should try something similar in concept to proof by contradiction. ;)) You guys sure do freak me out. I'm glad I'm not married to, engaged to be married or going out with any of you! :Q LOL! ;) :D */Me puts on her boots and takes off quickly!* :p ;)

True, but if this is "true love" then there should not be any doubt.

You have to realize that I am trying to be all emotional and stuff, but I am not good at it. I think I am argueing just for the sake of arguement. I don't care one way or the other.

your last sentence makes absolutely no sense to me. anyhow, it is entirely possible for marriages to be doomed, and not end up in divorce, for reasons previously stated. divorce was not mentioned (save for one question) until you brought it up. everybody else was talking about whether the marriage be successful or not. the closest you get is "the marriage might not make it". i consider an unhappy marriage to be a failed marriage.

I'm glad I'm not married to, engaged to be married or going out with any of you!

the feeling's mutual, trust me. i've often wondered what drives people to suicide...

Bah...if you don't know anything about your future wife, there's a decent chance you'll be happy

If you know a lot about your future wife, there's a better chance...

Yes, I can concede that it is not the norm, but I do not believe "weird" and not the norm are necessarily synonymous. I sure don't see what is weird about it and do not believe it is weird.

I did not expect you would understand my statement, Mr. Go Punk , since this subject matter seems to be one in which you have vested interest.

On another matter: I suggest it is best if those who typed up their statements and can vouche to their intents be the ones to state accordingly what their intents were. ;)

"the feeling's mutual, trust me. i've often wondered what drives people to suicide..."

Oh really! Tell me more of what you've uncovered, my new confidant and psychologist. So you've been having girl issues and were deprived of kisses or all other forms of affection, thus you had the thoughts of sui. . . . :Q Please feel free to confide in me at any time via my private box. I won't drive you away. ;) The feeling is indeed mutual, though, 'cuz to begin with I doubt you would meet the physical criteria I set to even check out or consider any guy.

Before this diverts . . . have you got more to say? ;)

whatever, go back and add the comma already.

one could say the same to you...

I endeavoured to use it for what the original poster and others stated or implied

you were saying?

The feeling is indeed mutual, though, 'cuz to begin with I doubt you would meet the physical criteria I set to even check out or consider any guy.

you know, i can believe that. i was going to reply with some sarcastic comment about fat, balding, old guys... but now that i think about it, you have to be good looking, because there's no way an ugly person would have gotten through life with your intelligence. i take comfort however, in knowing that your value goes down every day, as you get older.

and i hardly think you would meet the personality criteria for most guys! you're so rude. every single post i've ever seen you make is to put down others and to show how you are above the rest of us. even if you are above the rest of us apply some modesty or manners at least, miss "luvly".

and you might say this is the internet and you can say whatever you want. but really, to be constantly bragging on the internet is really sad, you could be PCRresources incarnate for all we know. No use constantly telling us how much better you are than us it just makes you look like an egomaniac living out your fantasy world on the internet.

sorry, i just had to get that out.

someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this how muslims are supposed to go about it? They avoid the whole physical aspet till the man proposes to the woman, but after she accepts, it's ok to fool around. There's a muslim at work who just got engaged and some of us were talking about it, come to find out the two had held hands ~twice~ and that was in private. But since he proposed, I'm sure they've been shagging like rabbits :)

Hell, I don't agree with them by a long shot. But leave them be to do what they want...they're not hurting anyone but themselves :)
