So I just went to some lame safety meeting and they spoke a bit about electrical safety, and workstation ergonomics. They talked about taking breaks for 5 min or so every 45 minutes you sit at the computer, by moving around and they also talked about taking some sort of "micro pauses."

-Release your mouse and close your eyes or look away from the screen/work
-Rest your arms on the chair or drop them at your sides
-Lean back breathe deaeply and allow your shoulderst to droop
-MOVE!
As I went back to my desk, my simple mind came up with fvcking brilliant plan. This is almost as good as Tenacious D's c0ck pushups, but slightly more feasible.
Here it is... Chair dips!!! I sit at my desk and just work out. Every 10 minutes i sit back, take a "micropause" and essentially do bar dips in my chair! I am in relatively good shape, and i hope to really beef up my triceps using this method. Today is my first day, and I am going to try to get in about 6 sets of 15 dips before i go home and go to the beach.
AWESOME!!!!
The implications for this are unfathomable. Maybe i can patent my idea and collect royalties. What do you all think?
Update 1 Man its only been like 20 minutes and after 2 sets, my arms are pretty fatigued, Maybe ill start a little slower and go for 4 sets.
Update 2 I can feel power surging in my veins. My Triceps are actually feeling like they will be very sore tomorrow, so that seems good. I'm goin home now, I'll update again tomorrow.
Update 3 Its been a week now and I can definitely see a bit of a change. My upper arm are more defined and I can now easily do several sets of 30 dips throughout the day. I will try to keep this up for the next couple of weeks and then I will update again.
Update 4 I have decided to add some stretching into my routine.
We had another safety meeting and it went into the importance of stretching.
I have always been in decent shape, but have never been very good at stretching.
I kinda think it would be a cool goal to be able to do the splits, but I think that i would have alot way to go, considering i can barely get my legs to 90 degrees, much less 180.
Has anyone every attempted something like this?
Are there any special techniques used to facilitate strechiness?
