Once again everyone else in the industry is on the backfoot, it rocks...a lot smaller than it looks in the pics, and the screen is extremely impressive, crisp, clear and pro-looking :)

I want a black one

dude, my roomie cassie got a ipod nano, she returned her samsung to BB and got the white ipod nano (black was sold out) she got the last peice they had.

Its selling like hotcakes. It so small, and the screen is so fscking clear. Its amazing that thing sounds like it does. I dont know if the headphone jack is smaller than normal or what, but it looks smaller. Anyway the thing is awesome. I fscking love it. Too bad i got a 4G 20gb ipod. Though i think if i had to buy a new ipod it shall be that new nano.

I'm going to the Apple store today to check it out in person and if they have the 4gig white in stock, I'll likely buy. My 4gig black has been shipped from Apple but it won't arrive until next week. My wife can have the color I don't want. It's too hard to decide on the color from looking at the photos only.

Apple stock hit new 52week high yesterday. To think I had 30,000 shares back in 2001 split adjusted. :( Patience is a virtue and I've none.

No, players that are this small have been available for a while. Apple just makes hype about whatever they're introducing. It's basically a good looking product with mediocre features and a higher price tag than the competition...how can that business model work???

Never saw the appeal of viewing pics on an MP3 player anyway.

It has worked for Apple for a long time.

i can't really think of one that packs 4gb/glorious colour screen into such a small size (although i'll happily stand corrected ;))..and that's before even considering if it looks ANYWHERE near as good as a nano...

lots of people will buy style over practicality.

i like apple's interface. i think it's really intuitive.

can u supply a link to mp3 players similar to nano? I'd def buy a similar model if it were cheaper and was as thin.

i'm with you on the photo thing. i wouldn't use it at all for that purpose if i got one.

Show me one. I bet you can't because it doesn't exist. Not with this media and storage capability.

True. It's called marketing. Jobs is the master of it.

Find me 2gig or 4gig flash player for cheaper. I don't even care if it doesn't have color screen. Heck it can even be size of a football. Find me one for cheaper.

how can that business model work???

Obviously very well as Apple's profit in last couple years have mirrored the increased iPod sales.

dammit, I want one but I probably won't use close to all the memory. Im currently useing a creative muvo txfm 512 and it serves me pretty good. Plus 200 bucks seems pretty high for me.

Unless, dug you want to buy me one? :D
