That's no reason not to beat him. If someone enters you're home and tries to molest you, that's an automatic beating. Plus being deaf and mute isn't that much of a disadvantage in a fight. Now if he was blind...

<< I opened it because I was worried there was something wrong with someone in my family. And beating him would have been senseless, he was deaf and mute, not really a fair fight, especially since he was drunk. :p It was just freaky as hell, and not something I expected to happen last night.

<< Moral of the story? Don't open the door at three oclock in the morning or let your husband answer it. Clockwork Orange. >>

GirlFriday: Please don't open the door by yourself when it's 3 A.M in the morning. Especially you're a woman. The world is not as safe as what you think.

Someone broke into my uncle's house a couple days ago at 11 A.M. in the morning. So you know how scarry the world is...

That is freaky! Good to hear you're ok :) I'm glad my apartment has a security door so you cant get into the building unless someone buzzes you in. Your husband is a patient man, I would have probably started beating the guy up if he wouldnt leave, or at least forced him out of the apartment.

Believe me, I learned my lesson last night about opening my door, I won't be doing that again soon. All I had running through my mind after I did is is this is how women die stupid, whats wrong with you? :p

As for beating him up, he was very non violent, to the point he told ME to shhhh, putting his fingers to his lips, and pointed at my kids. I guess he didn't want me to disturb them, nevermind he was in my home trying to kiss me, as long as I don't wake up the kids!

Open the door at 3am and let some weird guy in your house? Bad idea.

I'm glad nothing bad happened, but next time I wouldn't open the door unless it was the police or something similar.

I can't believe your husband didn't do anything. Especially with kids in the house! Even if started out non-violent what if he started getting angry at being rebuffed? No, you should always play it safe and beat him. :)

are you a naive person???
why open the door at 3am..and if you're going to open the door, at least call your husband before you do so. No wonder so many people are raped in their own homeS!!!!!!

He was drunk and a little loopy. Happens everyday.

At least he was not violent.

You say his face was all bloody and he kissed you. Have you considered getting a blood test for infectious diseases? The chances are slim, but it might be wise.

Um, I said he TRIED to kiss me, not that he actually suceeded. And my kids where about five feet away, yes, lets start a fistfight next to them, between two grown men, one drunk. That's gonna keep them safe.

SammySon: Thats the main thing, that he wasn't violent. He really didn't seem like a scary guy, it was more freaky than frightening I think.

And I know I shouldn't have let him in, I was stupid, I know! :p

Thank goodness you're okay and nothing happened.Sigh, I'm like you I'd have probably opened the door thinking it was family or a friend in some trouble.

Glad to hear you are ok but please don't do that again.

The feeling I get from your story is that this man had already tried the same thing with someone else and got the crud beat out of him, hence the bloody face and bumps on the head. There are many crazy people like that unfortunately. Should this ever happen again let your husband answer the door with you in the back ground with a loaded weapon ready to back him up if necessary. It's a shame that this should be your course of action next time but now you see why. Glad to see that you are all OK this time.

I'm guessing he looked that way b/c of the way he was acting. Apparently a beating didn't do him any good.

Wish every drunk could see a video of themselves later when they are sober.....
