OMG bad SAT score

They get all the scores. If 1270 is good enough for the school you're applying to, then it's good enough.

you can always practice and retake the SAT...b/c chances are if you don't practice the ACT and just take it, you'll end up scoring the same percentile as you did on the SAT....different colleges have different policies on multiple SAT scores, but I think most will take the higher score from either section...
 
I suck at verbal and thats why I got only 1310. Practice more and give it another shot in a few weeks. You can always nudge the score up.
 
hey, i got a 1540 and that didnt help me at all getting into college. Hope that makes you feel better 🙂

I think the SAT is easy, the friggin' SAT II Mathiic, annoys me the most. I can't get the damn thing right... 740... 710... The 3rd I took it I got a 750, even though i only skipped like 2 and probably got most of them right because I spent time studying for it. How the hell did I miss 8?!? Anyways I'm devote a whole line to saying:

I HATE ETS!!!

That felt good. 🙂
 
1330...enough for me to get into UCSD as EE major.....don't fret too much...i sucked @ verbal...just make sure u get 800 on math part..
 
I think tests like the ACT and SAT are very poor ways of testing knowledge and intelligence. Everyone has different ways of learning, and taking a single "snap shot" of that does not always get the true representation.

i agree. but it's a really really convenient way for admissions offices to pick students w/out having to do much more work

well i did quite a bit better than you... then again SAT isnt everything ...

i got a 1200 on my second try with a stage 10 hangover. i was puking till 5 am took test at 8. it got me into college im a 3rd year Physics Major now. not like it mattered anyway whe i am they dont have to submit your scores if you dont want to.

Gee, I only had an 1190 on my SAT's. I took them a LONG time ago ('94 or '95), however, and I think that the scoring system worked differently back then.

Not that it really mattered, however. I still ended up a good college, and got the good I/T job that I was looking to get when I graduated.
