When I'm being tailgated I like pressing the brake petal in just enough to light up the lights and not enough to actually slow down. After enough flashing they usually realize they need to GTFO.

I believe you Alky. D-bag got what was coming to him but probably learned nothing. Probably thought he was driving fine and will continue to do so.

Thats the smart and legal thing to do, and unfortunately not enough people know that, or not enough people are smart enough to use it.

am i the only one who simply drives the same speed, without changing driving behavior, regardless of whether i have someone tailgating me?

if they're tailgating me, the onus is on them to stop if i encounter something. it's highly unlikely in situations i've encountered that they'd do anything more than damage to my car if there were to be an accident.

i just don't care about tailgaters, and drive normally.

You aren't supposed to use your brakes except stopping. If you are tapping your brakes to harass someone into going around you, that could be cited as reckless driving.

I don't disagree with doing it, but it's not a legal thing.
