Alright, I have an audi 1.8t and I was shopping for a turbo kit for it, for $2500-$4500 (without FMIC/exhaust/etc), i figured why take a chance with my daily driver/spending so much when I can get a whole project car.
My goal is to have something I can work on, something I can enjoy, and something fairly solid (that i don't have to worry about having running for the next morning for worK). I'd like to clean something up and possibly mod it for speed. I'm interested in learning really.
I'm torn now between an early DSM (~92~ Talon TSI or something) or an early 90s late 80s 'stang GT 5.0. 5.0 will cost a bit more but from what some people are telling me, DSM's are going to spend more time being fixed than anything, where as pay a little more for a GT but it will be more solid. I'm not going to track it, it's just for a personal hobby. But having a 13s and possibly a 12s in the future for not so much cash is also appealing, but I don't want it to break after a month..
What do you guys think? No poll cause I want actual responses 🙂
