Yeah, price point is exactly why someone would still buy AMD. I would only recommend Intel to someone who wanted to spend more money. For the everyday basic user, AMD is really the smarter way to go as they should be more interested in bang for buck rather than best performance. However, due to marketing, alot of non-educated consumers in for a basic system will think they have to get an Intel or they might have "problems" or it won't be fast enough or something. And of course, due to our culture's completely materialistic brainlessness, people (basic users) think they need to get the biggest and the baddest. However, that is simply not true.
Now, if I were getting a new system and didn't worry about a budget at all, of course i would get Intel 😛
