"Compelled to cry rape"? Are you insane? This is an adult woman, not a female toddler incapable of making reasoned decisions. She did something embarrassing and then tried to throw an innocent man under the proverbial bus "rather than face the overly harsh consequences."

I agree but too many people would cry foul if women like this were criminally charged. This woman gets to take refuge behind the male guilt and feminism that drive the unsubstantiated claim that real rape victims won't come forward in a system that prosecutes false accusations.

I'm no lawyer but I would think he could press civil charges right?

I'm unclear why anyone would call this rape based on the evidence. What kind of person would even suggest such a thing?

I also wish there were consequences for this women trying to ruin this mans life. Can he sue her for libel or something?

I don't think it's irrelevant at all. Every single woman I've dated and the one I married have all had rape fantasies. I think it really drives home the point that if a woman decides to end your shit she can and there will be plenty of people out there who are all too happy to accommodate her.

I think for most men this case is downright maddening and scary. Absent video evidence and witnesses this guy would be up a creek right quick and he'd be forgotten about even quicker.

FFS you have the "victim" gripping his head like she's trying to clear a 7 - 10 split, yanking his face into her crotch, smiling, kissing him after the fact, and voluntarily leaving with him. Yet you still have these whackjobs out there who just won't accept that this is a simple case of buyer's remorse / morning regret.

The whole situation and the people who validate it are absolutely disgusting.

So basically you agree that a signed consent contract is not a sufficient defense against a rape accusation.

Not surprising since you also apparently believe that a video that clearly shows consensual sex is not enough to show rape didn't occur either.

Or you can use logic, which simply says there's not enough evidence to charge either of them. Any further assumptions are just that.

Only to people who don't take the time to actually read them. The only posts I offered were regarding possibilities, as the full set of facts are still unknown, even after the decision of the grand jury was made public.

If you want to believe something different, go right ahead. There are several here who need to make things up to be pissed off about. Says more about them than it does about me.
