It's official OSU is #2. And by a wider margin then I thought.

Yes, and if, and it's a big if, Ohio State manages to beat Michigan on the heels of beating Michigan State and Purdue, the Buckeyes better darn well get ranked higher than 4th in the AP and ESPN polls or it will be an outrage.

Which would put them even farther ahead. It's already pretty outrageous that neither of those polls moved Ohio State ahead of at least LSU after a very solid victory over an excellent Michigan State team.

I found that to be very frustrating, too. It almost appears to be a bit of a stubborn streak on the part of the voters.

tOSU is NOT going to beat Michigan in the big house, OU will play USC, and OU will romp USC.

i'll say it again, michigan loses a game at home nearly every single year, and this year wont be an exception. OSU will win. It might not be pretty, but they will win.

You mean the same Michigan State team that lost 56-21 to Wisconsin? The same one that has lost 3 straight games?

LSU actually widened their lead by 10 points in each poll this past week. OSU is going to have to romp Michigan to stand a chance to move up.

and the same Michigan State that lost 20-19 to LA Tech (the #1 worst pass defense in the country, who LSU destroyed btw 49-10);)

When OU beats OSU by 21 everyone will be crying saying they should have played USC. If OU were to have played USC and won by 28 then everyone will be crying saying they should have played OSU. OU won't lose this year regardless who they play.

So far the only things I have seen Buck fans rest their hopes on in the Michigan game is that they stop the run and force Navarre to choke.

With the way the Michigan o-line, Navarre, and Perry have been playing, I have a feeling they will be sorely disappointed. The only thing that can hurt Michigan is what has killed them in the 2 losses: Special Teams failures. The only way I see the Bucks offense producing points is if they have a short field to work with. Make them drive 70-80 yards and they'll sputter out.

It kills me that Michigan is 3 pts away from being #2 and 7 points away from being undefeated, but a good win over the bucks will be a happy ending.

27-9 Michigan

Who the fvck is "tOSU"? At least OSU fans are smart enough to get their opposing teams' initials correct. (And before anyone tries to say that any other team has a claim to "OSU", just take a quick look at where http://www.osu.edu takes you.)

ZV

Actually, the official name of Ohio State is "The Ohio State University", thus tOSU. When you are watching NFL games and they show the players saying their own names adn their schools, almost 100% of OSU grads say "(name), the Ohio State University". However, in abbreviating it, most everyone writes OSU. I dont add the "the" unless I am saying it out loud, and not saying "OSU".

And goddammit, don't forget the State in OSU because I'm sick of people confusing my

alumni with OSU. We own the trademark to "Ohio". ;)

And you come this close || (the space between the lines) to owning the trademark to "suck"

Riiiiiight. Never mind that OU didn't seem to care about the Baylor game in the second half. When they want to turn it up a notch they always do. Seriously....who could get excited about Baylor? Especially when you are already pounding them and the game isn't in doubt.

Ummm... maybe because you dont want your star quarterback (who, incidentally, has had his knees injured before) taking sacks?

You can argue about scoring and getting fired up, but protecting your QB?

How can you call the entire game coming down to the last few minutes boring? Especially as compared to a high scoring blow-out style of play (That OU 77pt blowout was ever sooooo exciting). I just dont get it...

Agreed. The close games, every play could possibly be the back breaker.

yup. thats why i say, over and over again, that this logic does not work with ncaa football! its very difficult to play very consistent week in and week out...thats why the voter polls are extremely biased towards recent performance...because the best team in the nation is one that has currently been playing very well

in a 60 min game u like watching 55 mins of teams punting back and forth and 1 play in the last 5 mins deciding the game? well not me

well i like a even contest with teams trying to pass and gain yards rather than trying to run everytime and going 4 downs without gaining 10 yards time and again

Exactly. The rules for using letter abbreviations are that words such as "the" or "of" or "a" or "an" are not included in the abbreviation. One doesn't write "tUSoA" for the United States of America and neither should one write "tOSU" for the Ohio State University.

Ahh...well, I guess I'm a throwback then :)

I like the "3 yards and a cloud of dust" kind of football.

Michigan is just too good at home this year. And OSU sucks on the road.

OSU is an abysmal offensive team who rely on mistakes and field position to win football games. That is all well and good when you are playing teams like Penn State on the road.

I am really looking forward to this game. Hopefully a nice, convincing win by Michigan will bring some of these Buckeye fans back down to Earth.

Then you will love it when Michigan hands the ball off to Perry and he falls forward for 3 and 4 yards every time.

I'd prefer if he fell forward on the way to the stadium and broke an ankle or something (nothing serious, just enough to keep him out of the game).

Yes, I love that style of football, but I detest Michigan.

OSU has 33 fewer points against than the second best defensive team in terms of points against (Purdue). 40 fewer than Michigan. Just like last year, many teams with high-flying offenses have come to play OSU only to end up slogging it out in an old-fashioned defensive battle with very little scoring.

Granted, if the OSU defense has an off day, we're done. It's as simple as that since we don't have a fire-breathing offense to bail us out.

That's fine. I'm hoping Lydell Ross and Maurice Hall DON'T get hurt so they have to play the whole game. :D
