How good is Oklahoma's kicking game ? If they get into a game with a good defensive team punting and field goal kicking might come into play, given the scores I've seen I wonder how much their kicking game has been tested ?

The big 12 isn't very good at all this year - K.St, Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma St - none of these teams are very good. Texas has a lot of talent but can't seem to get over the Oklahoma hurdle - I think Spurrier should go there when he quits the beloved patriot job....

USC, Ohio St, and LSU are all good - saying you know who would win among the three is pointless unless they play each other.

hey buckeye fan
do these games ring a bell
PENN STATE - im sure PSU could beat texas, kstate, nebraska, oklahoma state or tech. right.
SDSU - okay....whatever....lol
BGSU - same as SDSU
Purdue - would be 3rd or 4th in the B12
and of course A LOSS to wisconsin.
so, whatever, keep talking.

i guess i could throw NC state in there too.

no, not at all like that.

if you think tOSU has a shot against OU, youre dreaming. whats this? barely escaping against purdue?
yeah, fearsome.... LOL! i guess the only way tOSU could win is if whats his face chokes White, Clayton, Harris, Perkins, Straight, Lehman...hmm i know there must be more All Americans im leaving off there....

Heh, I think being down to Penn State with only 1:35 left in the game and winning by one point was worse :)

Question - What did OSU do to only have 4 out of 11 games on the road?

hmm...lets see...Nebraska only beat Penn St by 7 pts...Purdue is better than everyone except Texas and OU in the Big 12..so is Michigan, Iowa, and possibly Wisconsin.....

BG is a ranked team with an NFL prospect at QB, no shame in "only" beating them.

SDST - no excuses for the Buckeyes in that game, clearly they didn't play well - much like the Cincy game the year before.

Please tell me that "tech" isn't Texas Tech, the gimmick-crap offense? Check their score and offensive stats against OSU last year. They were physically beaten up - much like they would be against 5 or 6 Big 10 teams.

NC State isn't a good team? They might have the best QB in the land, and they just took Florida St to OT (at Fla St) before losing.

I was trying to stay objective at least.

Oklahoma - OSU would be a great matchup, lets see what happens at the Big House first...

IIRC, OSU pays big money to other teams to get them to come to the 'Shoe, rather than OSU going to their stadiums. Since the 'Shoe has 100,000+ capacity, OSU makes money on the games even though they pay quite a lot for teams to come to OSU.

Ah...or at least ABC or ESPN pay big money to have teams come there. :)

Who the fvck is "tOSU"? At least OSU fans are smart enough to get their opposing teams' initials correct. (And before anyone tries to say that any other team has a claim to "OSU", just take a quick look at where http://www.osu.edu takes you.)

Actually, the official name of Ohio State is "The Ohio State University", thus tOSU. When you are watching NFL games and they show the players saying their own names adn their schools, almost 100% of OSU grads say "(name), the Ohio State University". However, in abbreviating it, most everyone writes OSU. I dont add the "the" unless I am saying it out loud, and not saying "OSU".

-yeah, that would be the weakest part of the OU team, imo.
they had a few punts blocked earlier this year, but that hasnt happened since before the texas game.

-DiCarlo the kicker is a sophomore and pretty good.
63/64 on XPs
and 19/20 on FGs with a long of 46. 7/7 from 40-49
i dont see anything wrong with that.

And goddammit, don't forget the State in OSU because I'm sick of people confusing my

alumni with OSU. We own the trademark to "Ohio". ;)

OU is a powerhouse. They have beaten the snot out of everyone except Bama. At that time Alabama was a very healthy and pretty good football team. The Bama you see today is not healthy and stinks.

I hope they do get to play OSU, they would beat them like red-headed step-children. I would bet on that!!!

You really don't want to play OU. Remember what OU did to Texas, then Ok State, then A&M? Well the Buckeyes would get the same. Hell they can't even score a TD against Purdue...how the hell do you think they would do against OU's defense?

After seeing what Baylor did to Oklahoma's offensive line, I think USC's defensive line will do just fine.

There's a reason why they actually play the games.
And there's a reason why The Ohio State Unversity has only 1 loss in the last 2 seasons...they know how to win.

Imagine what OSU's defensive line would do to it. :D

Riiiiiight. Never mind that OU didn't seem to care about the Baylor game in the second half. When they want to turn it up a notch they always do. Seriously....who could get excited about Baylor? Especially when you are already pounding them and the game isn't in doubt.

Yes, and if, and it's a big if, Ohio State manages to beat Michigan on the heels of beating Michigan State and Purdue, the Buckeyes better darn well get ranked higher than 4th in the AP and ESPN polls or it will be an outrage.

Which would put them even farther ahead. It's already pretty outrageous that neither of those polls moved Ohio State ahead of at least LSU after a very solid victory over an excellent Michigan State team.
