"oh yeah

this guy "mops the floor" of the commie fascist liberal $1%!%$!

OH YEAH!"

Just look at this guys points, he's got this whole thing all figured out and nobody is LISTENING! Can't wait for the silent majority to come out and support this man, THIS IS HOW WE FIX THE HEALTH CARE PROBLEM!

(List of the man's points for those who are so dumbfounded by his new-found approach to solving government problems)

#1. I'm a vet (applause)

#2. I protect the constitution! (applause)

#3. Don't mess with my kids! (applause)

#4. You can't decide my health insurance! (applause)

#5. We aren't nazees! (applause)

#6. You are the nazee! (applause)

#7. Pelosi is hitler! (applause)

#8. I'm disabled! Are you better then me? (applause)

======

What's that? You didn't get it through your thick skull yet?

Anyway, I applaud this guy for having the courage to speak up, but no offense, he gets an F as a grade in the end if I were his teacher.

Reform is needed because our financial situation with health care sucks. He could have brought up the following points, none of which are really related or right/wrong whatever, but they are at least points.

#1. Bureaucratic mess
#2. We need to be healthier
#3. Stop the leaks in medicaid/current programs
#4. Privatize
#5. Better / smarter regulation
#6. No fix is needed

He made a very convincing case, going by your summary, for how democracy has limits, and a flaw that bad citizens can increase the risk of bad policies.

I just haven't processed completely what to think of the people who just go to town halls to yell at people.

But then again, I guess how is that different from any other town hall forum.

"...disabled veteran..."

Isn't the VA health system paid for by programs that are funded with taxes?

It is a single-payer government-run health-care system...
wiki link

Maybe he doesn't use the VA on principle (doubt it). Regardless, any time Nazis enter in to the argument, I can't help but dismiss the person entirely.

It's just sad there are so many stupid people in this country. I still do not understand where they get the "Nazi" thing.

When it comes to disability, looks can be decieving. That being said, this guy is still a tool who can't seem to form a cohesive argument and/or logical point. He fails, hard.

It's the ultimate ad hominem of American politics; you'll remember the same "fascist" and "Nazi" accusations against the Bush administration.
In this instance it was triggered, at least in part, by the Palin wing of the Republican party and their accusations that eugenics through euthanasia was a centerpiece of the Democrats' health reform bills.

What I love is that people are trying to call the party that includes the first black president and a gay jew... nazis.

What would I ask?

Where can we find out what the specifics of the coverage are? Where in the legislation are the benefits you claim? Please reference the legislation.

How long did you personally study the legislation before you voted on it?

Why is it that the government accounting office gives different numbers for the cost of your program than you do?

You maintain that this will be paid for by "cost savings". Please cite verifiable numbers and sources to back your claims.

Will our coverage be as good as yours?

Considering that with your stated cost restraints, how will health care be rationed, and who will decide how it's done?

You say a public option will not eliminate private insurance. Considering that the government has the ability to undermine any private business since in principle there is no limit to amount of subsidization of a government program. Will you undercut them so they will fold? If not, how are you "more efficient" than they and if you do, how is that not de facto control?

I got more.

If you want to base your support and voting habits on the actions of people 150 years ago, you're more than welcome to do so. It would be dumb, but that's your choice.

Since we're talking about the party that exists in the real world today, as my post was describing, it's completely accurate. There is a major political party in the US that has race baited black people and other minorities for about 5 decades now, but it isn't the Democrats. This is why minorities almost never vote for this unmentioned political party.

From an Orwellian viewpoint, it makes 'perfect' sense.

Seriously, it's just Godwin's law. Nazi and Hitler are basically synonymous with the devil/Satan in modern culture.

True, since he is clearly mentally disabled he certainly should not be voting and should not even been allowed in that town hall meeting.

He belongs in an insane asylum.
