OffTopic: What laptop do you have?

I have a HP pavilion dv series that works great but it gets hot all time.
What kind of laptop do you own and what you don't like in it?

Dell Inspiron 6000d. It's heavy, only has a 15.4" screen, uses IDE hard drives and runs pretty hot, but the x300 is great for Vista and the Pentium-M overclocked to 2.26ghz crunches through anything I throw at it. I used it as my bedroom HTPC till I finished building my HDDVD/BRD machine. I <3 my laptop.

I have three...

Dell XPS M1530 - I absolutely hate the fucking piece of shit network adapter. It's honestly the worst thing I've ever seen. Not only do I get 200k/s (note, kilobyte) wireless transfers on it, I also get sub 1mb/s wired transfers! Absolute chinese-made shit. The power cable is too short. The media buttons are absolute shit; you cannot hold them down to repeat the action. So if you want to turn the volume down, you gotta push the button again and again.

I really hate that laptop.

HP dv5000-something - No faults other than it's slow 'cause it's kinda old.

ASUS EeePC 4G Surf - It's a EeePC 😛.

I don't like laptops, but I needed one, so I got the cheapest laptop I could find: a Presario CQ50

I've got a Dell m6300. It's fast and has a giant screen, but is heavy, hot and has terrible battery life.

Dell Inspiron 6000D. Getting a little long in the tooth now, but I barely ever use the damn thing anyway.

Old Compaq something or other. Gets hot all the time, battery lasts around 30 minutes now, crappy screen, heavy, loud.

I have two (for work). I've been doing development on a Dell Latitude D600 (with Server 2003, VS 2008, SQL Server 2005) and with 1.2GB of RAM this poor thing whimpers when I come in in the morning to work... too much for this laptop to handle. My other work one is a Latitude D620.

Why is this here?

anyway, I was holding off to get a laptop since I didnt have a real use for it yet.

Got a Aspire One for $275 and I love it 🙂 its perfect and actually runs photoshop and sketchup pro decently.

Personal: ThinkPad A21p (circa 2000). My only dislike is that it is now rather hopelessly outdated.

Business: ThinkPad T60. I hate, hate, hate the 1024x768 screen. I miss the 1600x1200 screen on my A21p. At least a 1400x1050 would be OK, but 1600x1200 would be much preferred.

Once you have used a ThinkPad, no other laptop measures up.
