Nice job by the Proctologist. Might as well get Mariano in there for the rest of the game to finish it up.
I know you're a baseball guy, did you see Smoltz today? If I was a Met fan, that would scare me.

The Mets miss him this week. Thank god. He's an amazing pitcher. Maddux is still doing well too. Just amazing pitchers.

Okay, Farnsworth is scaring me. He walks the #9 batter on 4 straight pitches in a one run game.

He came in, and you could just sort of feel the double play coming.
Let's just say it, we would be fvcked without him.

Ok guys, catch me up. I have not followed Yankee baseball in a bit so I don't know. All I know is that their record is 5-4 and they have won 4 straight, while the Red Sox are 6-3 and have lost 2 in a row.

How is Jeter looking? A-Rod? Matsui? Is Bernie improving?

Pitching staff?

Thanks.

OMFG, Mo is gonna need everything he's got right now. 2nd and 3rd 0 outs, Yankees down by a run.

That last pitch to Matsui was clearly outside. Umps just took a game-tying run from the Yankees. What a crock of BS.

That did look outside but Matsui is a professional and shouldn't just watch a ball go by in the bottom of the 9th. He should protect the plate and just fowl it away if anything. I know he's a good hitter and can do that.

Still, in that situation a walk is a run, and taking an outside pitch for a run is never a bad thing. You can't predict an umpire making a bad call.
I'm just bitter. :frown:

I'm watching Boston vs. Clevland right now, and this is pretty depressing, first inning grand slam for the Indians.

Unit better get his act together fast.

He's been just horrendous all season. Proctor should be in the rotation as well (take out Wright).

This Yankee team has not been very impressive. They're a bunch of bully-type hitters, each one trying to hit a 12 run homer farther than the last guy. You can't live and die with a homerun ball and expect to win as a team.

David Ortiz is just incredible. That first inning at bat was impressive with that homer topping it off.

I have seen my fair share of Met-killers in my day but I have never seen one player just murder one team like Ortiz does with the Yanks.

There has to be something the Yanks can do to stop him but so far they haven't found any weakness.

I don't know what to think about this Yankees club. You are right Presence about the homer happy lineup. Players like Damon, Jeter and Cano have lots of other skills so they don't have to do that but the others are just swinging for the fences. Except for Giambi who seems to walk every other at bat.

Ortiz is awesome. He's as clutch as a guy can be, in a big way. The Sox got the deal of the century when he came over from the Twins.
