I was waiting for you to chime in! :p

I'll be getting my copy of Crackdown after work, then it's off to home to play it. Here's hoping the wife's class tonight runs long so I can play for quite a while. :D

Interesting - Forza 2 Showdown to be shown on the Speed TV on the 21st (tomorrow).

I'll have to go home and set my DVR.

Got a question:
On some games, like NBA2K7, I keep pressing the Guide button when I want to press either "back" or "start" button. Is there a way to disable the Guide button temporarily when playing a game? I tried looking around in the Controller Setup Menu but found nothing.

Thanks

I've never seen an option like that. I've hit it a few times on accident, but not really all that often.

I like that it gives you the option before you start playing to allow anyone to join at any time, only allow friends to join at any time, or keep it to invites only. That's a cool way to do it.

For anybody on my buddy list, I'll most likely keep it at friends can join anytime, so feel free to hop in.

You looking for personal reviews? If so, I've put in a couple of hours, and I'm pleased with it. It plays mostly like the demo, although with a couple of odd quirks. I could be worng, but it feels like you are very weak when you start compared to how you start in the demo, but this could be by design, since the demo leveled you up quickly.

Also, there's a few quirks I've found with trying to grab onto ledges. It's a little buggy, but nothing even near close to being frustrating or a hindrance.

I like being able to access the entire world map at the very outset. The design seems pretty good so far, but I don't have any kind of good experience with it yet. Leveling up is very fun. In my two hours of play, I've found about 110 of the 500 green orbs, about 10 of the 300 "hidden" orbs, and leveled my agility twice. I've leveled my strength and firearms once, and am damned close to leveling my driving and explosives for the first time. With another hour or two of exploring, I'm positive my agility will be leveled again. The game is super easy so far on the Tough setting (the easiest), but I'd rather explore than be challenged.

Overall, the game is fantastic. I look forward to getting more time to play it in the coming days. If you played the demo, then you'll know exactly what to expect.

For those who have it, are you finding it odd that the camera doesn't recenter itself after letting go of the right analog when on foot? It just felt weird as soon as I started playing, and without downloading the demo again, I could swear the demo recentered the camera once you started running. I've gotten used to it kinda, though, although it's a bitch when you get close up with an enemy, and when the camera doesn't recenter itself, you get disoriented.

Crackdown rocks. Wow. I'm lovin' it. Hand to hand fighting needs a lot of work though, but otherwise i'm having a ball

Heh i have 496 out of 500 agility orbs. It's going to be fun hunting down the last 4 on the huge ass map lol.

Is the co-op pretty decent on crackdown ? My brother is coming down this week, was thinking about picking it up.

The game itself seems pretty fun, from the demo at least.

Been playing coop today with Thraxen, it's a lot of fun in coop. You can do all kinds of crazy things and your partner can also help you get to places you couldn't reach on your own. Thraxen showed me how to jump off his shoulders onto a rooftop that was too high for me to reach.

I was skeptical but it really is a lot of fun

Does crackdown offer split screen co-op? I didn't notice that in the options

There is no split-screen co-op.

So that means co-op over live or link only ? Bummer. I wish they would specify that in the features(unless I missed it)

Cooperative gameplay for double the mayhem. From the game?s initial concept to final design, Real Time Worlds focused on delivering dynamic, engaging cooperative gameplay for double the carnage, action and intensity.

is there any newer info on this:

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/747/747585p1.html

I really want to buy a 360 but mainly for shooter (COD2, Vegas) but i am really used to KB/Mouse. this would seal the deal for me.

Review.

I remember reading elsewhere that using the KB/M with this in GoW was pretty much a pain. GoW is pretty well optimized for controllers.

wow, nice. thanx.

The review looks good but $80 for what is essentially a converter???
