Wing Commander: Arena screen shots.

I have to put aside the kind of blah graphics knowing that it is an XBLA title. However, 3rd person? WTH? Stupid EA....if they wanted to keep the Wing Commander feel they needed to put you in the cockpit.

FYI, I am running my live from my router to the back of my xbox, my router being connect to my modem :p

Does anyone know why this is happening? Or a solution?

Thanks

did you try rebooting your router with the 360 plugged into it?

You're probably going to have to open up a couple ports on your router. Don't know which ones those are off the top of my head but try checking the xbox site for router settings and live.

check this MS link for your 360 connection issues:

The following ports must be available for Xbox Live to operate correctly:
? UDP 88
? UDP 3074
? TCP 3074

CHeck your network status and see if it says "moderate" or "strict"

I picked up the wireless gaming receiver and a controller for the pc and it works great but how the hell do I turn off the controller when I turn off my pc??? The instructions say zip and microsoft.com is useless. I just took off the battery and that was that but there must be a better way. :)

Mercenaries 2: In-Game Footage And Dev Blog

This in game footage looks so much nicer in motion than the shots from the other day. Got some framerate work to do still but being that it is pre-alpha I have good feeling this is going to turn out to be a real nice. For now however, my sandbox game of the month is Crackdown. It is like crack.

I don't have this but have you tried holding down the Jewel in the middle of the controller? That brings up the menu to shut down the 360 or to turn your controller off. Maybe they have the same thing with the wireless receiver?

Just guessing. :D

lol..yea..I tried holding down the green X button like I do with the 360 but that doesn't work. The button is just used to see how much battery life you have left. The receiver itself just has that one button you press you connect the controller to the receiver. When I turn off the pc the button just flashes. ah well.. guess I'll just take out the battery when I'm done unless there is a better solution.

Disconnect the controller then try powering it off?

No hole next week, Alien Hominid confirmed.

Listening to the 1up podcast tonight they said Alien Hominid would hit XBL this next week. Some info they got from MS, they state March should be a good month for XBL comparing it to "make up sex" for the last six weeks "breakup", heh, take it with a grain a salt, but perhaps to coincide with GDC.

Just let it sit, it will turn itself off after 5-10 minutes of non-use.

blurredvision is correct...the controllers will power down automatically on their own. No need to remove the battery pack.

anyone know if lost planet is system linkable?

I'll turn it on quick and find out :)

Edit: I didn't see any option for system link. The only options I saw were XBL and single player campaign.

Xbox.com also says nothing about system link:

Thanks for checking! Somehow I get the feeling that GoW is going to be the last great game to be system linkable. I think XBL is now the new "system link". Bummer, b/c nothing beats having 6 friends in a room with 3 360's and 3 projectors on 3 119" screens...

i'm really enjoying nba street homecourt...reminds me of the earlier versions with some new features. However, only 16 achievements available? They seem kinda easy to gain so far...

Yah NBA Street is pretty fun, but it gets old pretty quick. I finished the Homecourt challenge over the weekend, and by the ending parts of it, I wasn't even dunking and was just shooting long range shots to get the games over with quicker.

Once you have gotten far in it, there isn't much more to see. The double dunks are awesome but once you know how to do em, ou can do em almost every time and you can get 2 point dunks pretty easily. Also I don't know why they made it so you can do less tricks now than you used to be able to do on the older versions :/.

Just got done playing a few sessions of the GR2 multiplayer demo. I'm loving it, it is looking awesome, and the feel is right on. So far so good on connection as well, no drop outs. I was a little hesitant about this purchase at first but I?ve been completely sold by the demo. This is going to take me back to my original Ghost Recon days I believe, and that would be a good thing.

I'm really enjoying it too, I like the new gamebreaker system and how you can lose it to opponent, definitely makes it more intense. But ya single player is definitely lacking this time out.
