Good. The new one looks like crap with NO Multiplayer to speak of.
Hell ya, I wasn't expecting this one! Atleast I don't remember it being announced. One of my favorite arcade games from my childhood. I usually hate the recycled crap they keep putting in the XBLA, but I'll make an exception for this one.

Yah NBA Street is pretty fun, but it gets old pretty quick. I finished the Homecourt challenge over the weekend, and by the ending parts of it, I wasn't even dunking and was just shooting long range shots to get the games over with quicker.

Once you have gotten far in it, there isn't much more to see. The double dunks are awesome but once you know how to do em, ou can do em almost every time and you can get 2 point dunks pretty easily. Also I don't know why they made it so you can do less tricks now than you used to be able to do on the older versions :/.

I'm really enjoying it too, I like the new gamebreaker system and how you can lose it to opponent, definitely makes it more intense. But ya single player is definitely lacking this time out.

ok, i thought i was doing something wrong, but i feel like there are less moves this time around as well. i use X & Y, sometimes holding down the RB or LB for modifiers, with Turbo...i guess this will be a short single player game and more of a multi player one.

Just got crackdown last night. Seems pretty fun so far. After playing the demo, I was afraid it was going to be another GTA clone once I saw the Purple and Green "race" markers. I really dislike fixed events/missions like that. I am only 5-6 hrs in, but so far you seem to have alot of flexability as far as how to infiltrate the enemy strongholds, and how you actually defeat them.

I also have the 2 day XBox live gold pass that came with it up for grabs if anyone needs it.

it really is fun, especially when you take on the bosses in coop.

I just got the master agent achievement today and beat all the gangs. I don't know if I'll ever find my last 2 agility orbs....

I really don't like that swing system they have and would rather stick with the classic style swinging. Sometimes the announcers say the wrong thing (Jon Miller said it was 1 out when it was 2), there is slowdown during player intros unless its deliberate and even small instances of loading (with a convienient loading message) while playing. I think that depth of field blur is unnecessary and the Shea scoreboard looks awful. Graphics are good though I'm not as wowed as I thought I would be but I'd like to think other stadiums will look lots better. Players look great and some of the faces are right on.

The fielding is fine and the animation is good too. It seems like a solid baseball game and its better than 2k6. I think I'll pick it up but not at 60 bucks. I'll try to find it for 40 to 50 on ebay like I do for most 360 games.

Yes, you can turn crime on and there will be enemies. When you choose to start a solo or coop game, there is an option to turn crime on. It actually creates a LOT of enemies for you to kill

Downloading the MLB2K7 demo right now. As for Crackdown, I love the achievements in this game! They are things that any person can eventually do, but would not normally do them during regular gameplay. They aren't achievements that only hardcore gamers have a shot at getting without losing their boredom. The achievements have easily caused me to put in lots of extra hours into this game than I would have, which is awesome.

Jeez this is ticking me off. Now that Crackdown is out, a bunch of cool demos have come out, Alien Hominid is coming out this week....I DON'T HAVE ANY TIME TO PLAY!!!

Grrrrrrrr

Saw a rumor over on Joystiq that the Halo theme might be downloadable for GHII. I think Live Marketplace is just going to make GHII rock. :)

Don't forget the extra 100 acheivement points that will come out as a download! I wonder what it will be? I like crackdown and think its good but sometimes it feels empty since there are no side missions other than the kingpin and his henchman. I assume a sequel will come out and add more stuff. I really dig being a supercop and I think the explosions are totally satisfying.

For you Worms fans out there;

Worms XBLA finally certified(News)

I would expect it to be one of those slated "March" XBLA games as indiciated by 1up. MS just published the game page on Xbox.com as well. For XBLA games this usually happens 1-2 weeks before they come out

Jeez - just came out and DDR Universe already has 10 songs available for download.

Makes me wonder how much they hold out of the retail discs just for Live Marketplace.

I've read a rumor that they will be adding an extra ability to the 5 that are there to level up. Another rumor is boats, but not quite sure that would add anything credible to the game.

THanks!

Well Game Informer says it is their #1 safe bet that an announcement is coming at next weeks GDC. No one really knows, and a few naysayer?s around here say it's not coming at all.

Downloaded this morning and played one "game". I think it's pretty damned good, and this is coming from someone who doesn't keep up with baseball all that much, nor buys the games every year. However, I do tend to keep up with them somewhat. My favorite baseball game of all time was "Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball" on the SNES. It's my Tecmo Bowl of baseball games :D.

Anyway, I like the mechanics of the game, it feels good. Fielding feels a little jerky at first, but I'm sure it's just getting used to it. Same with pitching.

I LOVED Ken Griffey Jr. baseball. Had both of those games. (was there more than 2? can't remember) I think we spent countless hours in the homerun derby and I played several full seasons which seemed to take forever. :D

I love crackdown but i'm still trying to split my time for some R6:Vegas since I'm almost an elite rank now, will hit colonel tonight. Although I REALLY want to get the crackdown achievements. Getting the coop mission achievement may be one of the hardest along with collecting all the hidden/agility orbs. I've got 498 agility orbs and can't find the last two.

Mass Effect pushes the limits of DVD-9.

Does ?Mass Effect? fit on one disc?
Yep, but just barely. This is a monstrous game. In fact, there was a time ? not too long ago ? when we pretty much scoffed at the idea of fitting onto one disc. But, there?s an art to optimizing the data that goes on a disc ? plus we have a few programmers that seem to pull off magic tricks right when we need them.

Played MLB2K7 last night and had a good time with it. I'm also a fan of NBA Street - I always liked the NFL Street games, and this one seems pretty cool.

Sigh, don't know what to do....I've got Call of Duty 3 to finish, gotta beat Gears of War on Insane, R6: Vegas that I haven't even really touched and I just picked up Crackdown...blahhhhh

Not to mention GRAW that I never finished, and Tiger Woods 2007 that I stopped playing after a week...oh and there's Dead Rising just rotting away too...

What the hell... WTB More time to play these games :D

Also - If DDR has 10 songs to download on launch day I can't wait for Guitar Hero 2  :D:D:D

Yeah, he had two SNES games. The other one was Ken Griffey Jr's Winning Run, named after his division series winning run where he scored from 1st in the bottom of the 9th in Game 5 of the 1995 ALDS against the Yankees. Man, I still remember that game. What a bummer for us Yankee fans. Last season of Mattingly's career. Anyway, I digress. I had both games and his second one is definitely my favorite baseball game of all-time. I picked up MLB 2K7 and it's worth a buy if you want a good baseball game.

Really sucks about the Bioshock delay and I'm looking forward to Mass Effect.

Call of Juarez is a good game though it could have been a GREAT game if they dump or at least fix up the stealth portions. I have the euro release for the pc (yay gogamer!) and the game looks great and plays well but the stealth levels with Billy kinda blow. The Reverend Ray levels on the other hand are gold.

Meh, Blue Dragon is 3 discs for the Japanese release and may hit 4 discs for the US/Euro release, because it will include both English and Japanese audio (and subtitles) (possibly replacing English for other locales, I don't know).
