something about Korea vs Japan, korea tends to win, even when japan has the better team, as i posted above, i think it's because of an inferiority complex or something because the koreans seem to take the games between korea and japan more seriously than the japanese.

WOOOOOOT, Korea.
HAHAHAHA
The game was played before an announced crowd of 39,679 at Angel Stadium, with most of the fans pulling for Korea. They chanted and banged their blue and white Thunderstix, often cheered even when a Korean hit a foul ball, and booed enthusiastically every time Japanese star Ichiro Suzuki came to the plate.
When the game was over, with the crowd waving Korean flags, the winners took a victory lap around the stadium.
"I was aware of the fact that there were a lot of Koreans living in this area," Jong Beom Lee said. "I didn't know there were that many. I was very touched by their cheering.

i can't figure out the tiebreakers in this thing.
earlier on the radio i heard, the US would be out of it if japan won but scored FEWER than 7 points. FEWER, HTH does that make sense?

Yep. Weird tie breaker rules. If you think that's crazy check this out I got from another board.
"Mexico can still advance if they win 3-0 or 4-0 on a walk-off HR in the 14th inning or later.
So... what Mexico needs to do is keep it 0-0 though 9 innings... then purposely not score until the 14th or later on 3R HR or greater....
Suppose they had the bases full and someone whacked one off the top of the wall, the Mexican runners would have to have the smarts to NOT score and retreat to their bases, while the batter passes the first runner.
Now, for the US' part - if the game were to be 0-0 heading in to the bottom of the 9th -- the US could secure an advance to the next round by simply IBB 4 Mexican hitters in a row and letting them win 1-0.
This, of course, would be bad for Mexico - so they'd have to figure some way to avoid this... I assume the US pitcher could refuse to pitch and the umprie would start calling balls. Is there any way the Mexican batters could make outs without the US pitcher, pitching? If they refuse to go into the batter's box - which gains precedent?
If the US pitcher suddenly decides to start issuing a IBB and the Mexican hitter starts swinging the bat from the batter's box - would this count as a strike or a ball?"

All these scenarios are just nuts. USA should be able to whoop Mexico's ass and advance. No excuses. Cmon guys.
