yep
guess ponder is now 3rd string?
we can atleast admit that it was a very VERY athletic play by the LB to intercept that, half the leagues LBs would have at best batted that down
It was definitely a great play by the LB but Romo didn't get enough on the ball and it hung up just long enough for the LB to intercept it. Still a risky throw in that situation even if 9 out of 10 NFL LBs would only knock it down.
Chiefs with an awesome goal line stand. Titans couldnt pick up less than a yard on four plays!
sure
and as for the brady/manning/brees would have found that other guy comment I call BS
they all would have no issue trying to laser that in there
we watch them do it all week
its not easy to evade rushers in a broken pocket and find open guys, they find one open enough and make it work
this time for Tony it didnt 😛
the throw was maybe a little slow? it was 1-2 feet behind where it needed to be, its the NFL, that guy was open enough and Tony missed the throw
LOL@ San Diego. Stay classy SD, ain't no shame in getting shutout by the Raiders. On national television. Being schooled by yet another run-option QB. Hey Chargers, the run-option was popular LAST YEAR. Catch up to the rest of the league.
Oh, and buy yourself a defense while you're at it. Your defense is as real as Te'o girlfriend. Fuck you for making me think that you could do something this year.
rofl, Buffalo will be starting their practice squad QB next week.
Top 10 draft pick for 2014 here we come!
I feel like it makes sense for the Vikings trade Ponder to the Bills. He went to the same school as Manuel, they had nearly identical college stats (probably just a product of the system though), and the Vikings don't need him and could definitely stand to get his salary off the books to make room for Freeman.
I doubt it'll happen though. He's injured as well so it doesn't really help the Bills much, and they can't just throw Freeman into the fire quite yet with only one week to learn the offense.
I strongly disagree. More than likely, those guys would've eaten the ball or found the other receiver. Given the situation, I'm not sure that even their quicker releases would've allowed them to get the ball off with the necessary accuracy and speed before being hit.
If you need to panic to try and win the game when you have 48 points something else is majorly wrong.I don't think he is an idiot at all and I still think Romo is one of the better QBs in the league. I think his problem is that he panics and tries to win the game himself with often disastrous results. I think that INT last night was an obvious panic pass -- he was fixed on that receiver and had a Bronco coming right at him. Had he tossed it to #29, they might get a first down and continue the drive.
You've got to be cognizant of the game situation and know when to eat the ball. Fine, he probably didn't see #29. But the receiver he threw to (was it Witten?) was well covered and to make that pass would've required a perfect throw with room to step into it. Romo did not have that room. He should've just eaten the ball. They were not trailing and the worst that can happen is that you run some time off the clock, punt it to Denver with little time left, and play for OT.

Their defense didn't force a single punt and only 1 FG. The only drives we stopped were by turnover (2), which is nice and all but you have to mix that in with regular defensive stands.
the hill blocking my antennae sucks balls, otherwise, i would get a free football night this evening.
in other news, we just had a 3.0 rumbly that shook my place for about 2 seconds. :\
Remember, this was NOT a "do or die" drive. When in doubt, fall on the ball and play for OT. If it were an absolute do or die situation, maybe Manning/Brady/Brees would try to force the ball in there but I still believe they would've seen #29. 🙂 At any rate, they had very bad field position and that was a big risk to take.
Romo has one of the fastest releases in the league, top 3 if not #2 under Rodgers. This has been brought up countless times during broadcasts as a benefit of him.
Ok, then he just made a dumb decision.
Glad to see Alex Smith doing well (I hate when teams dump a perfectly good player when he gets injured) but dang wish it wasn't to the Chefs. But man going from 2-14 to 5-0 is impressive (helps dumping Romeo too 😉 ), I hope they get the wild card behind Denver 😉
Where would you put blame for the Broncos if they had lost?
